Oak Bay Golf Course

Second time we have played this course. Don't remember it being so hard last year! The course is in amazing shape given the dry conditions we have been experiencing. Was almost impossible to find a brown spot! You need to be able to carry the ball off the tee as most holes have a large natural area between the tee and the fairway. This can be a bit of a challenge for a novice for like me. My husband who is more experienced had a great game! Overall a great time and lots of fun!

Considering the lack of rain this summer,the course was in awesome condition.

The course itself was well cared for and if not for the odd hole layout and unfinished landscaping around around the clubhouse it would have scored 4 out of 5 stars.

Excellent course that is in magnificent shape. Great value. Almost every hole has a scenic view. A must try course. You will enjoy it

I just finished playing Grandveiw the day before. For my money i would play Oak Bay any time. Challanging course and i love #15.

While Ontario has been suffering drought-type conditions, the course was in great shape. Due to the natural topography, there is a lot of stone/rock, which can easily scatter your ball.

Tee decks, fairways and greens are in great shape, greens fast and true.

Wow, what a Course, tight But Fair! The Course is in Great Shape, the Greens are Fair, running Great.

I found out I booked the wrong day through golf now and they still honored my tee time . Friendly staff and one of the guys even looked after my dogs while we played . Pristine fairways , greens and tee boxes . Love this course !

Oak Bay course has a first-class feel with immaculate tee blocks, fairways, and greens. The new clubhouse is impressive. One cannot/should not walk this course because there are great distances between holes with a quirky layout that takes you onto residential streets. This a resort style course that should offer practice facilities because, I assume, most players will be making a considerable drive to get there, and a golfer should have the benefit of hitting some balls and putts before playing a challenging and interesting course.

Beautiful course with some breath taking scenic holes. The signature hole #15 is scenic and challenging. A must play course.

I have played at Oak Bay three or four times now and I am a huge fan. Really beautiful course with some great views of georgian bay and very cool water and rock features throughout the course. Some tough holes but also some opportunities for big rewards if you're hitting it well. I definitely recommend this course.

Played this course last year and thought it was good. But this time the weather was very sunny and we were able to see how green and well kept the course was. Greens were very quick, and were very true. I recommend this course to all levels of golfers.

Nice weather, mild breeze and not too many golfers on this mid week, weds. play.

Booked thru Golfnow with no hassle. Took us 1.5 hrs from north Toronto with light traffic. This is probably the closest and nicest course near Muskoka, especially the back 9, including hole 10, 16, 17 and 18. Make sure you bring extra balls as the fairways are fairly narrow and if you ball bounces to the right or left, you will probably loose it. Bring you camera especially if you come end of May to early June. There will be several spots that are picture perfect. We run into the baby fox at hole 17, a par 3 looking for food. The new club house is still under construction and when ready, would be a great place for a beer or food after the game overlooking the lake.

Excellent condition and weather was great. Only a few holes where you should hit driver. Hole 18 is very tricky especially with the wind in your face. Need to keep the ball in play.

Course was in great condition fro this time of year. Very friendly staff.

Great value for money & gorgeous scenery.

The club house is not yet open , so we look forward to going back in a few weeks when the off-course facilities are fully operational.

Sun was out on a cool fall day. Colours were wonderful. Wind was very strong. Great round for four average golfers. Would certainly return again and recommend to friends. Course challenging for sure but in very good condition for late October.

Greens were punched but generally a well kept course.
The facility is not finished and homes are still being built...will be a nice club when complete.
Glad I got the deal on Golfnow as I would have been disappointed paying full price for an incomplete facility.

Very challenging (but fair)course that is in excellent condition. Good shots are rewarded. Narrow fairways that require a high level of accuracy! Pace of play was great, played in 3 1/2 hours at an easy pace. Beautiful views throughout the course.
