About
Dragonfly Golf Club is located in the upper Ottawa Valley in the town of Renfrew, which sits along the Bonnechere River. The course sprawls across rolling hills speckled with exposed rock faces, mature trees, and sparkling blue ponds, all of which come into play throughout. The scenic surroundings can be distracting because of the panoramic views overlooking the Ottawa Valley, but the design will demand your attention. The front nine has a traditional links layout while the back nine plays more like target golf. Despite offering two unique nines, they blend together seamlessly to form a golf course that will test all of your shot making skills. In addition to the golf course, Dragonfly has a driving range with 20 hitting stations and the option of tee matts or natural grass. Chipping and putting greens with a practice bunker are also available adjacent to the range.

Great Spring Condition
The greens were punched and top dressed as you would expect this early in the season so putting was unpredictable. The greens look like they wintered well and are greening up, as is the rest of the course very nicely. They have a BBQ running at the turn for a quick burger or sausage dog, nice.
Expect spring conditions and you will enjoy your round.

I enjoyed the day. Great course, beautiful views, well maintained, a great staff and pleasant people on the course every time out.
Suggestions.
the fairway and the rough adjoining the fairway should be cut shorter because I lost my balls twice from a good hit on the fairway .
Best Course This Year
Everything was wonderful, the fairways, the greens, the. Pace of play and the course was fully booked. If I lived closer I would definitely join this coirse
Great Fall Weather and Golf
This course is well maintained and is perfect for fall golfing. Staff is very friendly and the rates are excellent. Worth the drive from Ottawa!
A Pleasant Surprise
Haven't played this course for quite a while, so it was a pleasant surprise to find the course in really good shape. Both the fairways and greens were very well maintained, the staff was friendly and the pace was excellent for a public course - slightly more than 4 hours! The layout was very interesting and not boring at all; every hole had different features and challenges. We got a great deal from Golfnow.com. All in all an excellent day.

Great course fairway's and greens in great shape only played 17 holes as foursome in front where 3 holes behind and marshal's nowhere to be found 4.hrs45min to complete 17 holes

Nice Surprise!
Staying in cottage country my wife and I wanted to play golf. This is a nice course that is kept amazing well. The 2 nines are different in style but enjoyable. The old is wide open, where the new is narrower.
Club house is very comfortable with a great balcony area. If you are in the area try it out.

Worth the trip
My husband and I played the course on a Sunday and decided that a trip on a week day would be more satisfying. Play was quite slow but we thought the course was in great shape. The fairways were well kept and the greens were excellent. The front nine was easy but the back nine was more challenging and interesting.
Aesthetically this course is very appealing. They have done a great job dressing up each hole with flowers, cement patio stones for benches to sit on and wood containers to hold garbage and recycling. All in all the course was worth the trip from Lombardy.
The 18th hole was spectacular and should be considered their signature hole.
We enjoyed our day and will be back (but on a week day).

Renfrew Gem
Being from Florida, I found Dragon Fly a refreshing change due to its hills and slopes. I found the course very challenging but fair. The fairways are wide and the greens roll fast and smooth. You rarely have a straight putt. The pace of was good and the staff could not be more friendly. It's a little tricky to find but well worth the drive into the Renfrew country side.

Scenic back 9
The course is in excellent shape - the price was awesome thru golf now..The pace was slow, but understandable as it was a Sunday of a long weekend, and since the weather was so pleasant, we just enjoyed the afternoon .
Cannot comment on the food as we did not have anything to eat..
The staff are very pleasant, friendly and accommodating .

Very interesting golf course
Second time playing here and always enjoyable. The staff is really friendly and the course conditions were great. Some interesting challenges along the way makes this course worth the drive from Ottawa.

Friendly staff and very nice course !
Course was well kept and provided an enjoyable experience. Greens were well groomed and fast. Liked having the cart on the course. Second half was a little slower because we were following some inexperienced golfers, but they have to start somewhere... and this is a great course for that purpose because of the different tee off options.

Beautiful day at the Fly
Course was in good condition but starting to dry out as expected in late July. Greens were running fast so caution required to avoid 3 putts. Beer cart service was excellent!

Rolling hills
This course has some very nice holes that take you up and over rolling hills and valleys. Nice layout, somewhat challenging and in nice condition. :)

Great Day
we were 3 seniors from Ottawa and had a great day on the golf course, course was in great shape and has 4 different tee blocks so you can play the distance you like for your handicap.

way too slow,
nice course, play here several times a year, they seem to be overbooking the tee off times. if you book on golf now they just seem to fit you in whenever, did not like that the course marshalls were playing during the day when it was busy and a kids tournament was on. if you have a kids tournament, just close the course to regular players, the pace of play was way too slow, walked off the course at 15 after 5 hours on the course. not sure if I will go back. I know you want to attract more kids into the sport, but don't forget about the people that are paying your bills now.

Thanks for making the drive to Dragonfly! Spring condition are well behind us now and we the course is now in excellent shape. There never seems to be a good time to aerate our greens as it is a necessary evil for the long term health of the putting surface. Growing weather was so hard to come by this spring that the punched holes took longer than we would have liked to fill in. Hope to see you again soon!
