About
Nestled in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, Renfrew Golf Club has a beautiful landscape of lush meadows and rolling hills covered with mature forests. It is one of the most scenic spots in the valley. Originally opened as a nine-hole golf course in 1929, Renfrew has long been known as one of the area's best courses, especially after the second nine was added. The layout features lightning fast greens that are large and undulating. Renfrew Golf Club's tricky fairways are quite hilly, which can make you feel like the hole is farther than it is. Golfers will face a variety of hazards including tall trees, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards. Many of the tees are elevated, providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Bonnechere River watershed.

Great coverall course and challenging. I great shape.
Great overall course design. Great for left handed players. Course in great shape. Would recommend.
Beautiful course
The course was in great shape, the Marshall's I was not impressed with asking us to pick up the pace on nine when we were only 1:45 minutes in. Little shocking that they want to rush us when there was no one behind us and we were ahead of pace. Also told us we were late teeing off on 1 despite the fact he was no where to be found and we were waiting for the group in front of us to get out of range. Despite the lack of couth on the Marshallls part great course.
The course has lots of interesting features that are both visually appealing and provoke prudent course management.
The staff were attentive and the accommodating. The course was in fine shape. The fairways were due for a hair cut but the greens were in good form. The fairways and tee boxes lend themselves to fine vistas of surrounding areas. Definitely a course worth playing again.
Great value for money
This course is beautifully laid out with some challenging holes but is playable for the average golfer.
One of the nicest layouts in the Valley
A lot of brown spots on the fairways, I'm told by members it's grubs, with a lawn the size of a golf course to feed on it could take some time to eradicate them, poison ivy im some of the rough areas, that could be cleared out.
That aside this is one of Ontario's oldest courses, with lots of contour that makes you adjust, miss the faiway and you have a challenge as you should. I return at least once a year despite the hour drive from Ottawa.
Very hilly and scenic
Our threesome (1 novice & 2 advanced golfers) loved this course, and well worth the 50-60 minute drive from Ottawa. Beautiful course in great condition with rolling hills at almost every hole, which results in a difficult lie on a lot of shots. A very enjoyable and challenging game.
Great value for a scenic, challenging course
Will go back again. Very friendly staff and good food and après golf. Friendly members as well.
Shaggy Grass
We know its early in the year, but grass was shaggy. Would like to have given 3 1/2 star instead of 3

some winter kill
The course has some winter kill on it. The greens were in pretty good shape. Some temporary tee boxes that were in rough shape. Wind shields on the carts would have been a good idea. Surprised that on a holiday Monday there was no beverage cart going around. I'll never understand how course don't have someone going around on with a beverage cart.
Course was in good shape with friendly staff.
Teed off on time and played in 31/2 hours. Course in good shape and efficient staff.
The course has a great layout but is not being maintained.
This course either suffered terribly from winter conditions or is no longer well maintained. There were bare spots all over the place. They need to spend more money and time to fix the course. In past years this was one of the best courses around Ottawa.
Great Course
Early in the year so not in top shape yet, nice layout, every hole is different with different challenges, lots of elevation changes, especially on the back nine, A bit of a drive from the major centres but if you're in the area it is well worth the effort to give it a try.
Outstanding customer service
We were rained out on the 7th hole this day and we got a rain check with a cart for 18 holes no restrictions.
This is not the first time we have golfed here and every time the service has been exceptional.
It is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it.
