Renfrew Golf Club
About
Nestled in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, Renfrew Golf Club has a beautiful landscape of lush meadows and rolling hills covered with mature forests. It is one of the most scenic spots in the valley. Originally opened as a nine-hole golf course in 1929, Renfrew has long been known as one of the area's best courses, especially after the second nine was added. The layout features lightning fast greens that are large and undulating. Renfrew Golf Club's tricky fairways are quite hilly, which can make you feel like the hole is farther than it is. Golfers will face a variety of hazards including tall trees, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards. Many of the tees are elevated, providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Bonnechere River watershed.

Nice Property
First time on the course. Lots of variety on all the holes and not one is easy . Unless you are able to run the triathlon, do not walk this course, lots of ups and downs,
Biggest disappointment of the course is their Greens. Front nine greens were full of dead spots, looked like winter kill or disease. On the back nine, greens condition was a little better but still spotty.
A lot of their fairways had large areas that were totally burnt out and badly in need of irrigation.
In summary. A wonderful piece of real estate for a golf course, but needs a bag full of tlc to bring it up to it’s full potential.
staff very informative, friendly, helpful, they make you feel welcome. The Course is in excellent condition which makes it a pleasure to play. Great layout with hills and valleys elevated tee boxes and dog legs. Draws and fade shots are needed often.
Look forward to plying this course again.
Winter kill
Most greens had winter kill, putting on them was brutal and you all know that is a critical part of the game.
I will not be returning until August, maybe they will be able to recover them by then.
I’m glad I got a hot deal or I would have been upset.
Great course and layout, greens were in rough shape! Very hard to make a good round with tough greens. If in better shape it would be a great track!
Great Course & Great People
Really enjoyed my time here. Course is a great setup and staff treated us first class. Will be back.
Terrible condition
Most of the greens are not playable - dead patchy grass, mostly dirt and a few of them are roped off mid green. They are in serious need of repair and from the look of things doubt they will be recovered this year. The fairways look fine from a distance but play like they’ve not had any water this year - some places are like playing off cement. Real shame as we used to like this course. Played a less expensive one in this same area the week before and it was in fine shape.
Great challenging golf course
If you like an interesting challenge, then this golf course is for you. It is not a flat course with a good number of doglegs. Picturesque. I will definitely go back.
great day
thoroughly enjoyed the round while being teamed with 3 members after 9 holes.....made the day
pace of play slowed after first 9 because men's night but quality of humour overcame any sense of slow
this course is in immaculate condition
The greens, fairways and tee boxes are all well maintained, the entire course is so picturesque with lovely landscaping - we can't wait to go back!
Andrew
Great layout, rough was thin and hard due to lack of rain fairway were hard as well greens were great shape and receptive!!!
Old time layout
First time playing the course in 28 plus years. Typical old Ottawa valley layout. Few doglegs that require you to work the ball both ways or you end up in the trees.
The par 3's are challenging that require at least one extra club to reach the services. Greens were average speed.
Cost with cart was $45, but in my opinion still too expensive for the quality of the course.
Fabulous course
Had lunch which was good value. Course in excellent shape. Very enjoyable day
I'll go back for sure
First time there. I really enjoyed the course. Played with a couple of members which help with navigation.
I loved all the elevation changes and the course was in great shape.
