About
Nestled in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, Renfrew Golf Club has a beautiful landscape of lush meadows and rolling hills covered with mature forests. It is one of the most scenic spots in the valley. Originally opened as a nine-hole golf course in 1929, Renfrew has long been known as one of the area's best courses, especially after the second nine was added. The layout features lightning fast greens that are large and undulating. Renfrew Golf Club's tricky fairways are quite hilly, which can make you feel like the hole is farther than it is. Golfers will face a variety of hazards including tall trees, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards. Many of the tees are elevated, providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Bonnechere River watershed.

Raining but still a great experience!
Bunkers were very hard making difficult sand shots. Somewhat understandable due to excessive rains we have had in Eastern Ontario. Staff were courteous by giving rain check for unplayed back nine. We tried to phone for directions but had difficulties hearing clearly the extension number for the pro shop as it was messaged too fast and not clear enough.
Beauty
I have played here before and am never disappointed. I brought 3 friends from Ottawa and they were glad they came. They were very pleased with the course and the first time they played here. The one thing that needs some attention is the tee boxes most were un-level and a bit bare other than that the course is in great shape.
Good value for the money
The course is quite hilly, so riding is the best option.
Greens are on the slow side, right now.

Great day, Great course
I love this course. It is in pretty good shape. A few of the greens are still a bit off but until we have some warm weather this is almost everywhere. The rest of the course is in great shape. All staff are always friendly and helpful. Will return whenever I can. As to below I am not a beginner (that's for sure) and not good enough to be called intermediate but ...
Overbooked facility
This is the second time we have a booked a Tee time and had a conflict with a tournament arranged on the same day. We skipped holes 9 & 10 to help with their overbooking problem.
Renfrew
Good shape for this time of year and based on the weather. No soft spots. Greens rolling well.
Love this course!!
Challenging, yet very fair test of golf. Used almost every club in the bag. Unfortunately, the greens had recently been aerated, otherwise the course was in great shape for this time of the year. Will definitely play this course again.

Excellent Shape!
This golf course is a must. It is in great shape and it is a great deal of fun. It is one of the best, if not the best, in the Ottawa Valley. The staff are very good to you and the course is lots of fun.
The course is well maintained
The condition of the course and the greens were great. It is a beautiful course with some nice views. But it was extreamly busy. We played at 7:45am and we had 3 groups waiting to play after us.
this course had great greens
This course was very challenging a lot of hills and beautiful views I was glad to be using a power cart. The green were much quicker then I am use to which made them fun to putt on . Overall a great course if your up to the challenge
A Real Gem!
A very scenic, challenging, well-maintained golf course, with friendly staff, an hour's drive from Ottawa. We would definitely be members here if we lived in the area!

Very challenging and picturesque!! Some hole are tight some are more open, the par 3 are long.
This course has a nice design.
Many great views on several holes. The bumpy, hilly terrain requires good shot positioning as there are many blind shots scattered all over. It is a difficult course for an average player and a worthy challenge.
fast breaking greens
Greens are approachable in two;but be careful they are fast.
There are a few dry spots but overall the course is well maintained.
