Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Ontario (2014 #20)
Reviews
the course has great greens.
this was a surprisingly difficult course the only thing I would have like to see is a GPS or at the least a map on the score card of water and sand hazards, there were a lot and many you were not able to see so unless you played the course before you were hitting blind into a hazard.
Good Condition for Late Year
I play Hunter's Point often as it is a tough test of golf and a very interesting course. Price was $29 with a cart, one of the best values on Golfnow for Ontario. The course is links style with 8 holes with the wind and 8 holes against it. Two par 3's are at each end of the course. The greens were running fast even this late in the year.
Excellent Links style course, a true gem
By far one of the best Links Style courses I have played , at a more than reasonable amount.
Excellent, fun course and great value ($35/with cart).
Challenging yet fair (ample tee shot landing areas & interesting approaches). Large, fast, true rolling greens (need to study all angles to get an accurate read).
All in all an enjoyable day where the wind (25km/hr) factored into most shots.
Terrific menu at the 19th and a 'fair' cost for the pints ($4).
open, windy, excellent design
Given the time of year, this course has held up well, providing a challenging round. One of my playing partners said that he felt like he was in Scotland although this course is better manicured that the links over there. Enjoyable test with fast, difficult greens. Good luck.
great course, well maintained, plays a little slow due to popularity but marshal is good about the friendly encouragements to keep moving.
Lots of great deals on GolfNow for this very popular and well maintained course. Staff very friendly. One of the best deals in Niagara!

Great Course - Good value
My group will definitely come back for the course layout and conditioning. However, I have a couple of points worth noting.
Pace of play that day was brutal. After being warned of pace of play on the first tee we were immediately held up on the 2nd hole with 3 groups waiting. Got better but the round was a total of 5.25hrs. We didn't see the marshall for the entire round.
Be prepared to have your gear frisked before going to the first tee...beer police! They frisked our bags while in the proshop paying for the round.
My favourite in Southwest Ontario
Hunter's Pointe is a real gem for a public access course. Using Golf Now gave us the opportunity to play this great golf course for a price within our limit. We visit Niagara Falls twice a year for 2 weeks at a time and this is the course we play at least six out of the ten times we golf per visit. We love the link style golf that Hunter's Pointe provides. The staff there are very friendly and helpful.
awesome.............
course was in great condition, the staff, marshall and starter were very pleasant, and this course remains as a must play if you are in the area!!!
Well designed, playable course.
Interesting layout. Some blind shots. Good condition. Good restaurant with a great view.
Great value! Except for traps, comparable to Grand Niagara. Great links track!
Only negative is the condition of the bunkers. They have deteriorated badly and many have little/no sand.
Excellent links layout. I'm not convinced of the 129 slope rating, but it is on the 'more challenging' side of 122 or so. Wind is often a factor. A "fun" course.
Clubhouse and staff are absolutely perfect, including pro-shop, rangers, wait staff.
Challenging and always in great condition.
The staff here are what all golf course staff members should be like. Very friendly and helpful.
Challenge in the Wind
I have played here several times this summer and it is almost always windy, which makes off-centre hits even more punishing. There is a lot of stress on this course. There is trouble on every hole. Water, heather, sand: you name it, they've got it!
Why do I keep coming back? The challenge, and it is an interesting mix of holes in pretty good condition.
The starter told us that it is almost always windy and although they have cut back the heather recently, it can still get you if you miss the fairway by much. There are lots of blind shots where you can't see the landing area and it really helps to have played the course a few times to get a feel for where the safe misses are. They have a nice practice area where you can hit out of a few large sand traps.
A great golf experience!
Course was in great shape and a treat to play. Looking forward to another round!
Exceptional value
Great golf course that offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities
Challenging but fair
The day we played it was very windy, this made the course extremely challenging. The green were very fast, course conditions was very good, pace of play a little slow. Staff were friendly and helpful, let us tee off early since we arrive well before booked tee time.
Great course
Fast, rolling greens. Great layout, risk, reward well placed, well manicured fairways. Not suitable for beginners, but an excellent course for all levels above that, it will challenge even low handicappers.
We felt a little rushed may e spreading out tee times would help
