Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club
About
Situated just outside of Welland, Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club offers a parkland-style course that is easily accessible from Niagara Falls. With the Niagara Escarpment serving as a backdrop, the golf course has a rolling landscape covered with large ponds, wandering creeks, and towering trees. The Pelham Hills layout features elevated tees and undulating greens that are heavily guarded. In addition to numerous bunkers there is also strategically placed mounding separating the holes. The front nine has a few demanding holes that require long carries over ravines but there are also many birdie opportunities. Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club's back nine tests your drives more than your shot-making skills. The golf course is a formidable challenge but generous fairways make it more player friendly.

A cold windy day at Pelham Hills
Decent layout, course is NOT in good condition however. Bunkers are unplayable. Greens had aeration holes but putted fairly well. A cold, windy day so very few people were out and my twosome walked in under 3 hours.
Nice day out
Great fall day golfing - greens were a bit slow and bumpy - but decent overall. Love the challenging par 3's here.
Terrible greens
Course layout was good. Gentleman at the pro shop was excellent. The greens were in the worse condition of any course I played on this year. Even the city course greens were in better shape. Should never have charged the money that they did for the round.
Decent Course for the Money
We got a Great Deal on Golf Now. We did However have to pay $40 for the Cart. So the deal wasn’t as good. The course is nice but there are 2 or 3 greens that are in rough shape. Overall. Not Bad
And my wife and I had a good round. The Best 9 ever for her. My secret. She played below her age!
This course needs revamp.
We are a bit disappointed with the condition of the fairways considering the Pelham Golf and Country Club will be an indicator of a well-maintained GC. The staff was friendly and overall, with the exception of the putting green, the course has signs of neglect and with minimum maintenance. However, for the amount of money we paid, it is worth it.
Yikes. What happened to Pelham Hills
Played Pelham last year and the greens were great. Course was good. Just played this year and the course was awful. Looks like they just gave up. Greens were like poorly cut fairways. Probably 5 on stimp. Slowest and worse looking greens I have ever played.”Fairways” were just rock hard and weed infested. Club pro guy would love this course. Only good thing was it only took 3 hrs to play. Not worth the money
Mmmm!
The course layout is excellent but unfortunately the condition of the course leaves a lot to be desired, the fairways were pretty poor and the greens although quite fast are very patchy with dead areas and bald patches which resulted in difficult putting. A shame really as this course could be top class With the right management.
Worn out
Fairways were not well contoured and had many dry burned out areas.
The tee boxes were awful. Too many times I searched for a grassy area to hit from.
The greens were also patchy as if they had a fungus.
Very disappointed to travel 45 minutes to find the course in such dismal condition.
Hard fairways and poor green conditions
Cheap price but the condition of the course is poor. Very hard fairways. Greens are burnt out in patches. Still a playable course. Most holes are straight up to the green par 4s.
