Cardinal Lakes Golf Club - Sparrow Course
About
Cardinal Lakes Golf Club offers two 18-hole courses, a championship and an executive. The Sparrow Course is the original executive layout and while it may only be 4,909 yards, it offers the same challenges as its championship sister course. The generous fairways, many of which are doglegs, are flanked with rough areas and there are numerous ponds and lakes that come into play. Surrounded by trees and bunkers, the small greens demand accuracy. It may be a short layout, but this formidable golf course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and solid short game skills. While it may often be overlooked because of its length, the Sparrow is Niagara's most formidable short track

wee Sparrow
forgiving course to play when my knees are sore, easy to walk .
Sooo hot!!
My sister and Uncle were not familiar with the course and they would have liked a map/image of the course. I love this course.
Course is below average!
Was grilled for being 3 minutes late to our tee time and there was a twosome still on the first tee anyway. Was only 3 minutes late because there were no carts allowed on the course due to poor drainage of water from rain the previous night and we had to use the pull carts.
Great Value
Whether you choose to play 9 or 18 the value for money is definitely there. Only a few straight holes; the rest ether incorporate dog legs, water, trees and other fun obstacles to brighten up the round.
Shocked.....
I was out front of the proshop and overheard the Director, Billy I think his name is along with the obese janitor/cook having a conversation about the ladies (one looked no more then 14 years old) teeing off on the first hole. Absolutely disgusting. I can't repeat it here but it was really crude, in front of players as well. I should have reported them to their head office but I can't find anywhere to report it except back to the guys who actually said it. This is NOT a female friendly course. Don't play here until they lose these guys. Made me feel very uncomfortable.
Disappointing
Over heard staff discussing how they were sick and wanted to go home.. very irresponsible and inconsiderate. hope no one gets sick from this place, stay far away. After bringing this to a Nina the restaurant managers attention, she clearly didn’t care and tried to just brush it away as if it’s normal. Not surprising people with low standards have only made it this far in life.
Watch out for Nina sharpe
Most of the staff here were tolerable but the female manager Nina should be kept away from customers she can’t handle it and was taking her anger out on customers and staff. It was hard to watch, quite the eye sore too please keep in the back, don’t want to scare anyone away. She clearly uses this place as her own personal playground, reeking of cigarette isn’t a good look, very low standard and poor hygiene. Yuck.
Big delay at 10th hole.
We were pacing ourselves because the Foursome in front was also held up by those in front of them. Then when we made the turn at 9, the starter put another foursome in front of us causing an even longer delay. So we opted to play the front 9 again where the 1st was open.disappointing.
Shortish 18 ideal for early season
A fun easy course to walk. We'll maintained. Price has jumped and is not great value given other courses in the area.
