Coyote Ridge Golf Club

About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Go Somewhere Else
Course conditions were terrible. Not much grass to be found anywhere on the course. Putting on the greens is like playing plinko. Pace of play on a Monday, mid-day, was over 5 hours. Definitely not worth the money. Go literally anywhere else in the DFW area.
Rough around the edges
Great course with nice layout. With the recent rains, the course is not in its best shape.
Greens are rough.
Not worth $115 in current conditions
Can’t justify recommending anyone play this for $115 prime time with the shape it’s in right now. Mid April with baked fairways, greens rock hard & a lot of weeds, several rough tee boxes. For that kind of money you have a certain level of expectation that simply isn’t met. Fairway grass was overall nice, half of the bunkers were great fluffy white sand while the other half were full of little stones. Love the course layout overall, but wouldn’t pay $115 again until the course gets some water & greens fixed
Brutal Greens
Overall great course. Pace seemed like an issue bc one or two groups took themselves way too seriously but once past them we didn’t have any issues. Greens are brutal.
Great Experience!
Staff, starter, even the guys I got paired with were fantastic. The course was in great shape and it was a perfect day for golf, what more can you ask for?
unforgiving
Course is in pretty good shape for March- But this course is hard to score on. Most courses reward good shots, & punish bad shots- This course is "bipolar"- some good shots get punished and some bad shots get rewarded... I guess if you play this course a lot you learn how to play it, but if you only play this course once in a great while, be warned.
Great course
The course offers many challenges for low to high handicaps. I was paired with lower handicap group that struggled on holes that I didn’t and vise versa. I absolutely enjoyed the course and any time I’m in Texas I will be returning!
Do you like a challenge
This course is AWESOME. It was definitely worth the price seeing that I found a coupon through the TEEOFF app.
Very windy course from time to time. Which makes you really think of each and every shot.
All around good!
The whole place is nice. Friendly pro shop and cart guys. Carts are clean and stocked w towels, tee and bottle water. Greens and course in great condition.
Good Play
If you are ever in Dallas, I recommend this course to play. Although in the winter season, the course was in good shape with spacious fairways and moderately fast greens. I
Most underwhelming experience ever.
For any rate over $40 this course is trash. I wish I had anything positive to say about this course outside of the nice pro shop people and the breakfast burrito. I’m an avid golfer thru all seasons so I know your first thought is winter, but no. The lack of pride from the maintenance team and superintendent is obvious. Massive tire tracks thru fairways, 100s of divots on every single fairway, not a single flat tee box. Trash all over the rivers.
In the last 4 weeks I have played:
- pecan hollow
- Westridge
-twin creeks
-heritage ranch
-oak hollow
-riverside
And they all smoke this place out of the water. I wish they wouldn’t pay Golf Now to say it’s a premier course, because it’s just not. The owner must have cut his losses a year ago, and is gonna sell the land for housing.
They could put 2 million dollars into this place and it’d still look like a junk yard. I might return if posted greens are $35 but that’s it.
Sorry for the harsh words but this place deserves it, don’t come here unless complete rework.
