About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.

Good and bad
The course is a lot of fun. Great layout, fast greens but the members and the pace of play is atrocious
Challenging course
Greens are excellent, fairway needs improvement to be at par with championship course. courseLay out is more challenging. Pleasure playing in this course
Excellent winter round
Course is in great shape for early winter. Monday, so it wasn't crowded and pace of play was good for this course.
Coyote Ridge
Great course. Only issue I had was course was cart path only. I would have liked to know that at booking. It required a lot of walking which I’m able but others may not be able to walk that amount.
First time playing.
Very nice course. Wide open so you could not fet into too much trouble. Staff was excellent. Restraunt could be better. Overall a very good experience.

Course in good shape. I had fun playing the course. Clubhouse is extraordinary. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. If your are near Carrollton Texas it's a great course to play.
Great course!
This I one of the best public course in DFW. It s always laid back and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The food was surprisingly good and healthy. Normally, you can find a hotdog (which isn't the best choice in hot weather) or chicken fingers, but Grill 19 had some really good choices and I was impressed with the selection as well as the presentation. It is a decent price point and every now and then you can find a hot deal, so overall it's a good value.
Tougher than anticipated
I'm a bit of a beginner golfer and the course at Coyote Ridge definitely challenged me. There were enough holes where you can't see the pin from your approach. The greens were pretty tough to manage with so many dips and breaks. I averaged about 3 puts per hole. So based on my skull level I definitely need to improve before I come back. Course was well kept and the staff was friendly. Will come back at some point.
