Coyote Ridge Golf Club

About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Great layout
The course layout is very good and scenic.
Fairways were in good shape especially for July.
Big wide fairways. Only negative is the greens weren't good. Putts could not hold a line due to the rough surface.
The cart girl , Reagen,, was very helpful. I needed something from the clubhouse and she made the trip back and brought it out.
Overall it's definitely worth the money and I look forward to playing it again.
Enjoyable day
I brought three friends who had not played Coyote Ridge before. They all loved the layout, the conditions and the clubhouse. We will be back.
Challenging course worth a play
I would recommend a round at this course, but probably just one. It is a challenging layout which offers a lot more than the traditional flat courses we see around Dallas. For the price, I was disappointed that range balls were not included. We were also pushed to speed up our play. This was unfortunate since we were partnered with a pair that were slowing down our twosome. Looks like there are fun amenities if you were to become a member.
It’s not the same CR that I remember.
Let’s start with the driving range. Me and our group showed up at 6:15 for our 7am tee time with the intention to get a good warm up. That didn’t happen with the range being closed due to mowing. Then we loaded up our cart and find out it had a flat tire. We transferred to a new cart and that cart during the round had a low battery and almost didn’t make it back to the clubhouse on 18.
The course is not what it used to be. There are so many cart path deviations due to either new construction or flood waters from a week ago. The greens were crazy bumpy and the bunkers seem like they haven’t been raked for a few days.
I will most like no be back again for quite some time.
Greens and Fairways recently punched
Staff were great...
Course was recently punched so the conditions were not the best.
If the course had been in great shape then $89 dollars for a round would be on par, however I believe their standard pricing is closer to $109 which would be way over priced for this course. The back 9 is kinda jankie, it's like the crammed the course into too small of a plot. I shot a 36 on the back and only hit one driver...
Not Worth The Money
Greens in terrible shape. Poa Annua embedded in the greens. Fun layout, terrible shape, not worth the money.
Nice layout, greens not in good shape
This is the first time we've played Coyote Ridge. We loved the layout of the course with the elevation changes and the dog legs, strategically placed hills and penalty areas. The greens had a lot of poiana in them and didn't roll true because of that. Would love to come back once the greens are fixed.
