About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Dehydration
We arrived at the course and proceeded to warm up. 10 minutes before our tee time we went in to buy water, Gatorade and beer. CLOSED! No beverage if any type was available, it was very warm. Luckily we had two warm bottles of Mountain Dew. Without that we would have had to be out there 4 hours with nothing to drink. They don’t allow outside coolers. For that reason, the health department should shut them down. Guess they will be shut forever when someone sues after having a heat stroke. We’ll NEVER go back!!!

Great
IT was a good day for golf. We arrived and the course was wide open at 0845 and we took off — it had no amenities as it was COVID19 Ready and that was why no services but good well mannered patrons and people thee for a great day of golf.

Coyote Ridge
The two course condition factors I look at during winter golf season, greens and bunkers. Both of these are in great shape at Coyote Ridge. The course layout is challenging with forced carries, narrow fairways and just enough water to make you second guess a club selection. It's a great course, can't wait to get out there again.

Two different nines...loved the change of pace
Front nine, open fairways, free wheeling....second nine...tight tight tight....put the wood ps away and play irons with precision. Next time I play I will be ready for the change of pace. Will definitely be back!

Course was crowded but pace was good. Only issue was had 3 one-somes wanting to play through. Would have worked better if they were grouped together.

Played in Feb, conditions are good for the time of season.
Greens are fast (9-10) and true. A good variety of holes, back nine is tougher because the greens are smaller.

The two groups in front of us were late getting started by 20-30 minutes....after the 3rd hole the GPS screen started telling us we were behind on pace time....that continued until the end of the round....we kept up with the group in front of us the whole round.....very annoying

Slow and Parts Underwatet
Terribly slow, marshal was no help. Parts of course underwater, this was not brought up at check in. Person behind counter at check on was rude, distracted, seemed like uou were bothering hom yo check in. This was confirmed by others groups we did not know but got to talk to as we stood waiting on each and every hole.

It happens when Lake Lewisville starts to release water. Hopefully by our Head Pro reaching out to you, we were able to work through the other issues you stated.
