Not worth the money!
Poor signage/directions. Score card does not have a course map or a layout for each hole. Only green shapes and pin placement. If you know the course, then sure maybe you don't need that. When it time and you have to hunt for the correct holes or tee boxes not so good. For a course that was shut down for as long as it was for improvements of the greens, some are not in that good of shape. You'd think during all that time off they could have worked on the bunkers. Many of them are just holes in the ground. The driving range is just a giant eroded dirt field. Whatever that is that you call the rough. It's some kind of deep, lumpy, matted together mess that steels balls.

Sam's review
The pace of play was very slow. Not enough enforcement people. Which it serve hot food.

Overall experience and Playability
Fairways in great condition green fast and receptive and roll very true still needing some work on some of the bunkers. The staff was friendly helpful and excellent to work with. The height of the roof was cut down that was still challenging if you hit it in there but yet still able to play it out as well as much easier to find your ball. I would recommend for an enjoyable day on the links the A&M golf course.
Thank you for your review, u653321611. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at The Golf Club at Texas A&M. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Fun variety of holes
A few holes really made u think… aggressive options were not taken out of ur hands, but safer options were also tempting. .
And other holes u knew u needed to crush a drive to be in good shape.
Great views of campus and football stadium from all around the course. Pretty spot in the middle of the busiest part of town.

Enjoyable Outing
From start to finish from staff, pro shop amenities and course condition was well worth the money I will definitely go again.
u653321611, thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing The Golf Club at Texas A&M.
CONVENIENT to town, NOT Seniors friendly
Caters to $60 fare & tournaments, where the money is.
Seniors do not get "no play days" calendars, statements that itemize charges billed to credit card, one outhouse in the field.
New greens with great roll still unpredictable = the best feature of this course.
Losing loads of balls even close to fairway as most grass is at least 2 balls deep.
Design rated "F", holes 6, 1, 2 - all new; mostly original holes get "A"s
Slow play middle of weekdays & all weekends with grounds damage due to Sterling policy - Marshalls cannot roam
Clubhouse
FRIENDLY HELPFUL co-ed staff
Pedestrian beer
Hot dogs
Chips, etc. popcorn
Apparel, some clubs
Bathrooms
"A" rated
Driving range
Practice putting & chipping greens

Texas A&M course
The fairways are in great shape. Greens were ok which was shocking since you all shut down for 3 months to fix them but they looked brown and getting poor again in areas. Also the non golfing areas such as the native grass and rough could be better kept up. The fairway bunkers are horrible and hopefully getting fixed next. Overall, not terrible but I expected better after the close.
Thank you for taking the time to review us, nathankus25. Your feedback is valuable, and we appreciate your business. The Golf Club at Texas A&M thanks you!
Gigem
The course was in excellent condition greens were very fast hard true rolls and very acceptable to Walsh approach shots. Fairways were green and plush bunkers could use a little work but look like they were work in progress very enjoyable round and would highly recommend anyone of all levels to go and enjoy a round beverage and snacks.
u653321611, thanks for the amazing review and for choosing The Golf Club at Texas A&M. We hope to see you again soon!
Enjoyable round.
The course would do well to have signs to direct golfers to the next tee to avoid ¨lost¨golfers..
I was lucky to have been partnered with two young Aggies who were polite and pleasant and who knew their way around the course.

Not impressed
Staff was more concerned with talking to one another than helping customers. The course player is Savage 80-90 and they have US Open rough slowing play down because of having to look for players golf balls. And there is no marshal driving around to help speed play up. They just pushed the difficulty of the course for no reason.

roughs are terrible
Really need to cut down on roughs. way too deep. its not like we are playing a PGA course. hit the ball three feet off the fairway, ball is buried.
even hitting the green and rolling off you cannot find ball easily.

New greens
The new greens are in great shape and roll very true. The fairways are also in great shape. The 2 negatives about the course are the fairway bunkers are unkept, not racked, unplayable AND the rough is deep and thick. I lost 3 balls in the rough and the ones I found could only be layed up. It’s a very punishing rough. It needs at least a secondary cut to help stop the ball from the rough. The fairway bunkers must be addressed. Disappointed for a $60 round. But it’s the best public course within 40 miles. I hope they keep improving the course.

Rough is tough
Played 8/20/21, new greens were good, rough was tough. Lost a couple of balls in it and had a terrible time escaping it.
