Summer golf
It hot, the ball will roll for days. The efforts by the ground crew is paying off. Greens are coming back into shape. Don't over read the break. Take plenty of water or impose on the cart girls. It really worth playing again.
Thanks so much for the great review, u000007055546. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing The Golf Club at Texas A&M.

disappointing
conditions of greens need to improve and soon. Web page and staff should notify of greens conditions. Price does not reflect conditions and respect to players. will not be going back until conditions are satisfactory.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the conditions of the greens and apologize if they did not meet your expectations. We will take your comments into consideration and work towards improving the communication regarding greens conditions on our website and by our staff. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Greens are recovering despite Texas heat
Greens 1 & 9 are recovering and are playable with only a few places still mending.

Greens
The effort to restore the greens is paying off. Greatly improved and grass is growing. Treat them gently, need to get back into shape. Staff is great and always seem to get paired with nice players. Makes for a fun time on the links.

This course was nice but not in great condition
The greens had huge patches that comprised of patches that were recently placed and they weren’t very nice. One staff member was not very kind or understanding but everyone else was very nice.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the condition of the greens and for any negative interaction you had with one of our staff members. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our service. Thanks for choosing The Golf Club at Texas A&M.
Greens need work
The greens are in horrible shape right now. They should let players know before they pay for their round as many were unputtable. Greens on the back 9 were better but extremely still extremely slow and bumpy.
We apologize for the poor conditions of the greens during your visit and any inconvenience it caused. We appreciate your feedback and will make sure to address this issue to provide a better experience for our customers in the future. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

Greens in bad shape
Greens were in bad shape. Everything else was good
Craiger421, thanks for the amazing review and for choosing The Golf Club at Texas A&M. We hope to see you again soon!
Conditions Horrible
The greens suffer from what I assume is winter damage. There are numerous greens in which over fifty percent of the green is bare sand.
The bunkers are hard packed mud.
Overall, this course is barely playable and certainly not for paying full price.
We apologize for the condition of the greens and bunkers during your visit. We appreciate your feedback and will work to address these issues. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Greens just can’t seem to mend
For the past two months, the greens have been slowly repairing. #s 1and 9 are particularly not cooperating in the repair efforts. Other greens that originally looked worse are healing. It’s just sad that these two greens are fighting a losing battle. Even when the greens had frozen a few years ago - they recovered. I know Tim and his crew are doing what they can. The summer heat will not help.
We are sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with the repair of the greens, especially holes #1 and #9. We appreciate your understanding of our efforts to address the situation, particularly considering the challenges posed by the summer heat. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for your continued support.

Nice Round - but Greens slow and rough
Played on June 19, 2023. Definitely enjoyed the round. Course fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape, but the greens not so much. A few of them were very patchy with major bare spots and grass coming in. Also they were very slow and difficult to put since they were so shaggy and bumpy. Perhaps not mowed the morning we played. Maybe not mowed to help them come back in. Hopefully they'll work these issues out and get them back in shape. Only my 3rd time to play course since the renovation a few years ago, I definitely liked the layout and enjoyed the round.
Thank you for your review and for playing on June 19. We apologize for the condition of the greens during your round, as it seems they were patchy and not properly maintained. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will work to address these issues to improve the overall experience. We appreciate your compliments on the course layout and are glad to hear that you still enjoyed your round.
Disappointed
I’ve played this course several times and it was always in good shape ; however, the greens were in awful shape almost unplayable and for the price I would rather go to a different course.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the condition of the greens during your recent visit. We appreciate your feedback and will work to improve the course for future players. Thank you again for your review.
Save your Money
I've played the Campus course several times and it seems like in the past 6 months, the greens have gradually become worse. Unfortunately, they charge the full price while several muni courses are half the price in the area and are in great condition. I've always enjoyed the Campus course but until they either lower the price or fix the greens I'll have to steer clear for the moment.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize for any dissatisfaction you have experienced with the condition of our greens. We appreciate your loyalty to our Campus course and will take your comments into consideration to make improvements.
Extremely rude grounds crew member
My dad and I recently played out at the campus course for an early Father’s Day outing. It was understood that the greens are making a comeback which is fair. The Starter is always helpful and friendly. However on the 5th green a member of the grounds crew continued to water the green even as we played the hole. He adamantly waved us on without getting out of the line of sight of the hole (which for anyone who has played golf you know you just don’t do out of respect). As we played the hole he came onto the green with hose and completely acted like we were not there. I approached the worker and asked him if next time he could stand off to the side, explaining we had paid $125 to play this course and it’s not respectful to blatantly ignore paying guests. Said worker proceeds to reply “If you don’t f***ing like you can f***ing go play somewhere else.” There was no need to reply in a profane manner. Members of our group proceeded to call the pro sho shop. The manager/club pro drove out to us and apologized. When paying that much for a course with subpar greens you shouldn’t be treated that way by a staff member. We were planning to move ahead with a membership and that will not be the case anymore with this experience.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the disrespectful behavior you encountered from one of our staff members during your round of golf. We appreciate your feedback and will address this issue to ensure it doesn't happen again in the future.
Greens un-puttable
I play this often as I’m local. Usually in decent shape. Secret is out now…majority of the greens are “un puttable”. Has to be fixed before it’s even considered playable. Hope to see them repaired and playable in the near future.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our business. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the condition of the greens. We appreciate your feedback and will work to ensure they are repaired and playable in the near future.
