Belterra Casino Golf Club

First visit to Belterra. It has been an hour from Louisville for 16 years.Had heard several people talk about it over the years. Golf Now made it affordable.

. The layout is challenging. We played at 2:30. After a rainy night the course was cart paths only this morning but wide open this afternoon.. There was no standing water. The greens were excellent. Several pin placements were tucked behind traps and several were wide open on the front. The tees were the best I have ever played.

Belterra is a great course but very challenging. I wish I had my 250 yard drives from long ago. The soft fairways cost me some strokes. There are a few holes that are cart path only due to the hills. One long par 4 took 3 shots and 2 trips to the fairway below the path and 2 trips up steep hills back to the cart path.. Give it a try. Everyone was friendly and the food at the attached casino is excellent.

Honestly, my friend who I golfed with wanted to be Covid safe and we asked for separate carts. The older gent at the pro shop counter told us he will charge us an extra $10 per player. We played behind a 4 some with individual carts. They said they did not pay extra to have their own cart. The older gent seems to resent anyone who books by Golf Now. It's the only way we play it. It's not worth more than $35 to play. Do not book on Belterra site - WAY over priced.

The course have been closed for quite some time because of covid-19 so it was in pristine condition. I have never played a fairway that did not have divots nor have I ever play greens that did not have any ball marks. The greens were very soft and easy to deal with but I'm sure that's because they haven't had to do the routine maintenance which was okay because it made me feel better about my game. It was a truly surreal experience. Dealing with employees was a different story altogether. When I went to check in I was informed that in order to ride by myself I would have to pay them an extra $10 fee even though I booked by myself I traveled from another city for an hour and a half by myself but if I wanted to stay safe I had to pay a charge. So I asked the guy if I want to stay safe I have to pay a fee and he informs me and that Indiana is in Stage 5 of reopening so everything's over and they are returning to normal and charging people to ride alone. I have never ran into that at any other course even before I was never charged to ride alone. I complained about the fee and I was going to pay the guy the fee but as I was getting my money out he told me not to worry about it so I'm not sure if it's an actual policy or not. no matter what these people tell you this covid-19 is not over please stay safe and read up on all the current information.

Belterra is one of the top courses in the area. Great layout and challenging from any tee box. Greens and fairways in wonderful shape. Only thing that could be improved was the condition of the bunkers, but with Covid-19 Plandemic I’m sure those were not a priority. Got a great deal on Golf Now otherwise is pretty pricey.

Nothing negative about the course but be prepared if carts are path only. . Just about less walking if you walk. 90 percent of cart paths sit up 30 feet and are 50 - 75 yards from the center of the fairway. Miss the fairway on the wrong side and you could easily have 100 yards to and from. Would love play again in warmer weather with carts off the path!!!

Very rude unprofessional staff, made us feel unwelcome there. Only after we paid and after I told them I had just had knee surgery did they say it was cart path only ! The course looked decent but I was unable to enjoy it with all the pain I was in.

Shortage of yardage markers in fairways

Need 200 - 150 - 100 markers in center of fairways

Course has a great layout and year after year is kept in better shape than 90% of the courses in the area. This course is a must play every year.

most sand traps were under repair lot of mowed grass on frnt 9 left lying on fairways will play again in warmer weather to see if conditions improve

What a fabulous course. Awsome layout. Great conditions, very nice to look at. Everything a out this course was great. The only thing I would say negative and this might be time of year, was that the bunkers were not raked or groomed. And some looked like they have not been touched for days. But that was it, this course was super!

I have seen the course in better shape in the past, a few bunkers in bad shape and some brown on some fairways, nothing major still an amazing course especially when paired with staying at the hotel.

The course was very nice but very wet due to heavy rains the days before. So it played very long but overall our day was most enjoyable. Great layout and everyone who works there were very friendly and accommodating!

Course was good, they actually got me on a little early since I was playing alone. The only complaint would be that there were a couple four man teams before and after me and they only had one girl out on a refreshment cart so it kept her pretty busy. Suggested they have a least one girl working when it is that busy and as hot as it was on both the front and back nine!
