Great Experience
Weather, perfect. Course beautiful and challenging.
Staff friendly and helpful. Five hour round could have been 45 min less if people knew how to use carts properly. Drive to the mid way point between balls, passenger take 2 or 3 clubs and goes to their ball, driver goes to his. Passenger hits their ball and walks toward hole driver picks them up. Saves 3-5 minutes a hole.
Besides that, a fantastic day.
Nice Greens - Challenging Par 5's
The practice greens rolled perfect with good speed. The course greens were slightly slower, and some golfers don't repair their ball marks so you have to make sure your putting line does not hit a ball impression. They are very nice. Course layout is interesting but you need to know distances to carry hazards. Will play again - Hickory Stick's team does a good job keeping this course in great shape.
Tough Track
Nice place, great conditions. Friendly staff. They charge extra for range balls, but mine were comped by the pro. Thanks! Other reviews talk about the difficult layout. Totally agree. Toughest course I have played. Many forced carries, many blind shots. Several pin locations looked like they were not even on the green when viewed from the fairway. Many elevated greens with blind shots. Might get better, the more you play the course, but not typical for a resort type course.
One of the best in WNY
Great course. Had it all. No doubt one of the best in western New York. A little slow but worth the wait.
Sick and Tired
C'mon golf courses. If you have punched the greens with small tynes, don't charge full pop. This is stupid and you are angering customers . I won't recommend this course for quite a while. I will not play here for some time either. JERKS
Phenomenal Course
Loved the layout from the first hole to the last. The course has 5 3's and 5 5's and all of the holes are tough but fair challenges. Fairways are pretty wide, though if you spray you will find fescue and water. Well laid out through the woods and rolling hills. Even as the course baked out in the heat (rough and fairways were pretty brown on the back since it's been so hot the last few days) it played well. Greens were in great shape, and are not big but not too tiny either. If you find yourself visiting Niagara Falls or Buffalo it's well worth the trip!
Memorable Day...Hole in One Day
The course was in great shape as always with greens running true. On second hole my playing partner aced the par 3 for his first hole in one. Great start to good day on a “big boy” course which plays over 7000 yards from the tips. A must play course if you are in the Niagara Falls area. ⛳️
Missing the clown and windmill..
Started off the day with the guy signing in who was so grouchy I had to laugh..The starter was a nice guy. The problem is they booked my time as a single and didn't pair me with anyone...ever. I was stuck between 2- foresomes..not fun at all, super slow and tried to rush not wanting to penalize the guys behind me. Real slow play all around..and super crowded.
The course is in great shape, the holes were nice, but most of the greens, wow, they were like putt putt greens with the holes cut in ridiculous spots, all that was missing was a windmill and a clown's mouth to putt in. The green on 16, is stupid..a huge hump-sandtrap 6ft high, 3 feet off the front of the green, and the hole cut 3 feet onto the green on a ridge...no chance in heck to get anything close to the hole..over all a gimmicky layout.
Top notch course plain and simple.
Best course in the area and many other areas as well. The only knock I have is the price needs to be more competitive with the area.
Hickory Stick
Great course -- very friendly and knowledge staff. Great greens. Challenging but play the correct tees and you will enjoy your day -- I did. Wish I lived closer. .
great for seniors
we hadn,t played at Seneca Hickory Sticks in a few years don,t know why we waited so long to go back there but we are already planning to go in 2weeks.plus a few more visits this year.Awesome course
Everything I hoped it would be
This course has been on my must play list. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in this case. Robert Trent Jones Jr has designed a superb golf course that’s every bit as good as his dad’s designs. The next time I play this course I’d like to walk it and really take it in.
A Must place to play
This is a must play golf course if you are in the Niagara falls Area . Friendly staff great layout Great fairways and greens.
Beatiful course
