Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Wheel/Grind Course
About
Nestled among the rolling hills surrounding Uxbridge, which is just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Mill Run Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf and also an 18-hole, executive course. The championship holes are divided into three distinct nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Wheel/Grind Course is heavily forested with many elevation changes throughout. The back nine, the Grind, is Mill Run Golf Club's newest layout and it is also the shortest of the three. Although it is shorter in length, towering trees and doglegs incorporated into its layout demand accurate shot-making in order to do well.

Nice track
Condition for early season was very good. This course is fair but tests your skill. Good value in $40 to $45 range. Pace can be slow at times.
Fun course to play
Always in good condition, challenging holes that make you earn your score. Great staff , friendly and professional.
Great condition
Second week in a row I played this course. Great condition this time of year, no leaves on the fairways nor on the greens. I enjoyed very much.
Great condition
The course is in great shape and challenges most golfers. Well worth the drive.
Course with a lot of characters especially the "wheel"
Like the challenges presented by the "wheel" particularly holes 1 and 2.
Love playing at Mill Run!
Course was in great condition and staff is always friendly.
Strange
I booked the round with Golfnow 2 hours prior to play. Lots of times available. Got to the course. No carts to be given out yet I was there to early. One hour ahead. Range a long way from the starter shack. Tons of confusion over starting times. Fifteen or more people standing around two starters who were confused about what to do. Front nine pace was good. Back nine was awful. Saw the Marshall many times. He did nothing.to improve the pace of play. Overall experience was " oh well it's a nice afternoon".
Great value , Great challenge
Played Grind and Grist on the hottest day of the year - humidex 40. Everyone was helpful and courteous. Fun to play and challenging. You can play without being pushed, pace of play was without any hassle. The food and beverage specials at the clubhouse capped a most enjoyable experience. Will definitely play there again.
Uninteresting Course
Wheel / Grind Courses
It has been over 15 years since I've played here last, and I remembered none of the holes. Lots and lots of dog leg holes that are not very difficult, nor are they picturesque. I find it difficult to find a signature hole.
The distance between holes is ridiculous. Very long. Almost impossible for this course to be walked. The walkers would slow pace of play. Luckily it was too hot and we took carts. Most golfers we saw had carts too.
It was over 30c today. Wicked hot. By the 14th hole the food and beverage cart was no where to be found. We had to call the Pro Shop to find out if there was anyone out. Mill Run should have had more carts out on days like this weekend. Other courses loaded up their marshals with free water bottles to help golfers deal with the heat. (Oakridge)
The Pro Shop for checking in, the restaurant servers for breakfast, the bag drop and cart pick up area, and the starter were terrific. Very pleasant and welcoming. The golf course was a huge let down. It will be another 15 years before coming back. There are just too many better courses in the area.
Mill Run Wrist and Wheel
A nice day to golf at Mill Run, both club house staff and the starter are very friendly. Pace of play was good during weekday. It is a nice course, I will go there again
