Mill Run Golf Club - Championship Wheel/Grind Course
About
Nestled among the rolling hills surrounding Uxbridge, which is just 40 minutes from downtown Toronto, Mill Run Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf and also an 18-hole, executive course. The championship holes are divided into three distinct nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Wheel/Grind Course is heavily forested with many elevation changes throughout. The back nine, the Grind, is Mill Run Golf Club's newest layout and it is also the shortest of the three. Although it is shorter in length, towering trees and doglegs incorporated into its layout demand accurate shot-making in order to do well.

Great twilight game.
Course in great condition. Excellent value through golf now.
Ok day
So overall course was in good shape. Maintenance crew very aggressive cross course we seemed to run into a few every third hole. We narrowly missed hitting one crew with drive as they entered the fairway without looking. Other crews working bunkers did not move as we approached, had to yell fore. Grass cutters were fine.
No marshalls on course we had a foursome ahead of us, we were a twosome and group would not let us throug for 12 holes, so that put a damper on our enjoyment. Overall a nice little course.
Grist / Grind - What a great pair
Perfectly balanced course, can't wait to go back. The courses is In pristine condition. Make sure you take a cart though, some holes have some distance between them.
Very Nice Shape
Course is in great shape for this time of year considering the weather and all.........
Ihe Wheel
Good selections of challenging holes, narrow greens. Course in very good condition especially for this time of the year
Great track with excellent fall conditions
This 36 hole course is a good test of golf with challenging medium-fast greens. The course was in great shape for this time of year. Played the Grist/Wheel combo twice in the summer and the Wheel/Grind once. Course was in great condition each time- much better than courses in the surrounding area. Recommend a cart if you play Grind as distance between some holes will be a challenge for walkers.
Also played The Highland and find it the best 18 hole short course layout in the Metro Toronto area and easily playable in about 2 hours.
Great shape
The course was well maintained. Greens very consistent. Scenery was so amazing that it took my mind off the many swing thoughts!
Poor condition and slow pace
The fairways were covered with leaves. It was impossible to find your ball even in first cut. Pace of play was terrible as we had to wait on every hole due to a slow threesome in front. There was no marshal in sight to monitor pace.
Good course for both the long and short game.
Mill Run was a great day out. Played Grist & the Wheel. The course was in great condition, despite having rained the night before. Pace of play was good. Only had to wait to shoot a few times. Marshalls are good at keeping the play moving. Great course for both the long and short game. Will to play this course again. On my favorites list.
Great course
Great for all skill levels. Course in immaculate shape will play again in th future
Fast Round
Course was in excellent shape, pace of play was excellent finished in 4 hours with a stop at the halfway house.
Great Course!
This course is great! Especially "The Wheel". The staff was very friendly. I will be back for sure!
Great round
Great round, a little slow in parts but the course martial sorted it out. A little disappointed the halfway house was closed as I really needed a snack and a water it was pretty hot out there.
Great conditions at Mill Run
I've always played Mill Run for several years but stopped playing here for a while because I found other courses near me and better deals. My group wanted to go out early in the morning last Saturday and having played Mill Run before I had no problems suggesting to play here. Mill Run with it's new management I guess came through as the conditions from tee to green were just impeccable. What I love in Mill Run were the greens, it's just as I remember them when I play it a lot back then, really fast greens! What made it more better was that the greens were rolling so true! The greens were already running fast in the morning with a layer of dew, and boy it got way faster as the round progress. Can't say any bad reviews with Mill Run as I've always loved the course, maybe I'll start booking more rounds here again! Definitely recommended
Way to slow!!!!
We were welcomed at the club house staff were very friendly. We were scheduled to play the Wheel and the Grist....we waited a good 15 minutes past our tee time and was moved to the Grind and the Grist. Grind is definitely the better of those two courses. The grist is plain no interesting holes but man was it slow once we made the turn onto the grist! Not sure how it could be so slow as it was so straightforward. We were pushing over 5 hour round. We would not go back even though we would love to play the wheel. But we are not going to put ourselves through that waiting every hole again not worth it!!!!!
