Royal Manchester Golf Links
About
Situated along the shores of the Susquehanna River, Royal Manchester Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern York County. The course is just a few miles outside Harrisburg but the traditional links design will transport you to the seaside courses of the British Isles. Like the Old Course at St. Andrews and Royal Latham, which served as the inspiration, the golf course has an open, windswept landscape with only two bodies of water. The 15th, the longest par 3 on the course, is the only hole set among the few trees that dot the landscape. The most formidable challenge comes from the prevailing winds as well as the strategically placed bunkers. Royal Manchester Golf Club finishes with a memorable view of its signature waterfall that cascades down into a sparkling pond.

Challenging course
Greens were recovering from being punched, but overall not too bad. Fairways were good and the rough is starting to get thick. The mounds were not grown in yet so it was possible to find stray shots. Great afternoon of golf.
Challenging course
The course was in beautiful condition, the challenge comes from the layout, and the rough. If you're not in the fairway you will have a tough shot to get back into position, if you can find your ball. The challenge is what will draw me back to Royal Manchester when ever I'm in the area.
Generous fairways & large greens
Very nice links style course. Generous fairways and large greens. I played 18 in around 3 hrs. A couple greens had some bare spots, but it's very early. They'll get fixed up!! I will be back w friends!!
Well maintained.
Played early in the season and the rough was not grown yet so the course played easier than in mid-season. Club house staff was great and they paired me with a member to help me around the course. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a Links experience.
Best in the area
Conditions great, layout excellent. Just be prepared for a slower pace of play.
challenging.
Very challenging, but fun course. Tougher when the wind blows. Very scenic and peaceful. Enjoyable.
Links type course.
I enjoy playing a course where you are not going through the trees all the time. This course gives me a feeling of playing a course such as in the British Isles.
It is one of the best courses in the area.
Great course
The fairways were fantastic and the greens were great. Excellent course. I would definitely play here again.
Links
the course conditions here are always good. This course requires accuracy long fescue surrounding the farways and greens mean trouble for any errant shots. Always a fun course to play. They also have the best practice area around.
course very well maintained
All the features on this course are top notch and I would recommend this course to all golfers and it has probably the best greens that I have ever played
Play this course for its great condition
Course condition were very good. Course played firm and fast. Greens were a little more scarred and slower than when I played earlier this year. Overall a very good experience. I will play there again this fall.
Glad we found it!
After the Hershey Links closed down at the end of last season, my brother and I have been trying to find courses for those times when we want to play a round at a really nice place. I'm so glad we made the hour drive to play here, it was 100% worth it, and proved to be the nicest afternoon I've had on a course all year. The entire facility is in fantastic condition and I will be going back. On top of everything else, I used my BOGO hot round bonus and we paid less than hitting a bucket of balls. Thanks GolfNow!
Great course
Awesome links course! Very well maintained and very challenging. Many blind tee shots and holes were deceiving. Take more club than you would think on many holes as deceiving tee shots. Greens were soft but fast. Would definitely golf here again, especially at the $25 price we paid.
What a gem!
Was in the area for business and thought I would check out a new course. While this course is a little far from my home I would definitely make the trip again. There were a few shots I would do differently now that I know the course better but all in all a beautiful club. A top five for me north of Myrtle Beach.
Enjoyable golf course
Started the day in calm weather but the wind pick up as the day went on. This made the course more of a challenge. The course is very playable and it challenges you to pick the proper lines to play the hole. Keep the ball out of the heavy rough and you will have a chance to put up a nice score.
Georgous track
An extremely well manicured delight nestled in a nicely out of the way part of York County
Be sure to play this at least once....
Course staff is somewhat pompous, and their customer service has always been a little suspect. We got paired up with a slow 2-some and then had 3 or 4 other 2-somes directly behind us, hurrying us all day--a little frustrating to be paired up, then having to let multiple 2 somes through due to improper course management. The course was in nice shape and is always a challenging layout that puts a demand on solid driving and good iron play. The food at the restaurant is good and fairly priced. I enjoy this place, even though customer service is inconsistent and often lacking here.
Great course !
The boy in Pro Shop needs to LEARN how to talk to people ! I was President of a company of 1800 people . First , I would talk to him . If he treated someone like he treated us again , I would have fired him on the spot !
Awesome course
This place is fantastic. Course is in top notch condition, pretty challenging layout, some gorgeous holes that you'll see as you pick up your cart to go off #1. Greens were in need of aeration, but otherwise no complaints on condition at any point.
It is fairly pricey, but worth it. I'll be back as soon as I can.
Excellent, Top Notch Course!!
This course is excellent. Played for the first time Aug. 9 which was a day after an Asian Tour event. The course was immaculate. The greens were very fast, the bunkers were nicely raked and the fairways were beautiful. You have to stay in the fairways because the rough is treacherous. It's not very long, but it's a nice challenge.
