Turnberry Golf Club
About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

1 st hole par 4 Photo submitted by kyu462 on 06/09/2019
Somewhat challenging course for beginners (we ended up losing quite a few balls to the water and surrounding area) but is still enjoyable for someone looking to improve. Beautiful holes with excellent framing of hills/long grass. Took just under 3 hours to play. Electric carts are nice but not necessary, course is walkable.
Par 3 course with some really challenging par 3
Only 2 par 4s, the first and the last hole. All others are par 3s. Apart from a few of these par 3s, which are easy, some others are brutal. So it is actually quite deceptive, even though it is a short course. But the practice facilities are the best I have seen. The driving range is fabulous, as well as the putting green. The patio and restaurant is great too.
Pleasantly surprised
Course was very green as we have had much rain the past week. Great value as it has a private club feel with each hole framed and shaped by the mounds. Great day played in under 3 hours.
Poor staff service
Horrible staff service on June 3rd.st the pro shop. price is too expensive for the course. There are much better courses and services in oakville for less price. will never go back

Good Practice Course
Decent course and in good shape for the time of year. Definitely able to use most of the clubs in the bag. Pace of play was decent and it was quiet.
Good practice facility right beside the course. It was off mats and hopefully it’s a grass range in summer. I’d come back for sure with friends!
Worth another visit
First and last holes were par 4's the rest par 3's. The fairways were in good condition although a few were a bit soggy, greens were in excellent shape, large greens mostly and the majority were undulating; so a bit tricky when putting. The whole course is a bit hilly so a lot of uneven lies, bunkers were hard (not soft fluffy sand) and hole positions were challenging.
Toilets midway were closed, no water stations anywhere on the course, carts are around $17 per rider so a bit expensive for an executive course, small bucket (30 balls) is around $10 for the range and $17 (60 balls) for a large bucket. The putting practice greens were in excellent condition and worth trying out. Very friendly and helpful staff all around and if you're hungry the restaurant is definitely worth a visit
