Great Hot Deal!
$42 is a steal to play here. Staff was great and track is in great shape.
Poor maintenance
Golf course was not in great condition. All the bunkers needed sand...have not been maintained....grass was uncut in alot of places and greens needed work...alot of bare spots on greens. Overall, course was not well maintained and for a premium green fee of $80 with csrt for 18 holes, I expected course tobe in better shape.
Nice challenge
Course was in great shape and pace of play was excellent. Only negative started raining on the last hole
Fun and challenging course, but WAY overpriced for what it is.
Magnolia Green is a fun and challenging course but it’s not worth the $100+ for a tee time. They are trying to hype up this course to be one of the “best in Virginia” but I’ve played way better courses for half the price.
Calvin
Excellent layout, fairways are in great condition but greens need some work. A lot of divots on greens not repaired by players and some discoloration in areas of the green but over all great course to play
Disappointed
For the price of the greens fees, I expected excellent course conditions.
The bunkers were very challenging so sharpen your wedge game.Greens were pretty fast with severe undulations making it difficult to get near the pin .
Pretty course in great condition
Hot summer day but the course is in very good.condition. Greens and pin placements were challenging but ran true and consistent. Kudos to the staff.
Dynamic Greens
Im a new Golfer (27 Handicap) I've played roughly 8 Rounds across 4-5 local (Richmond, VA) courses. This is the best course I've played. The dynamic geography of the greens is on a whole different level than most average courses. The chipping and putting practice area is the biggest/best I've seen in the local region. With my Limited experience I'd put Magnolia in the running for best course in Central VA...Certainly Top 5.
Good shape
Overall, this course is in good shape given the amount of play it gets. The greens are NOT pitted with ball marks left behind. Staff was friendly and quick despite I was a cheap GolfNow customer. The turf problem areas have been sodded over. I will be back.
Great course - just a little pricey
I really like this course. The fairways have finally grown in making for Some of the best fairways in the area. Greens are very challenging! This is a shot makers course. You may be tempted to hit driver when 3 wood is your friend.
Beautiful restaurant but service is slow. Just from knowing this course - “at the turn” snack shop is more of a miss than a hit being open.
Price … normally $105 to public. Little rich when compared to Highlands, New Kent, & my favorite Viniterria
