The 6,810 yard SugarTree Golf Club layout includes the banks of the Brazos River, 55 sand bunkers, water features, and challenging fairways lined by live oaks, pecans, hackberry trees, and others. Water is in play on 13 holes and you need to bend tee shots left and right. In voting by Texas PGA Professionals, SugarTree Golf Club was selected number 18 in the entire state of Texas.

Greens were in great shape. Staff was friendly. Course was nearly empty on a nice Saturday, so pace of play was great. Overall course conditions were so-so ... more than likely due to the time of year.
Great course
Greens are in great shape and holds the ball great, but the course has a lot of trees to play with. Also, the course doesn't have but I think two sand traps.
All in all a challenging course.
Love it
This is a great course that I love coming to. It is a very nice escape from the city without having to drive too far.
A well loved course. So pretty… but tough at times. Had a blast playing it!
Great Condition
Played today and the course was in great condition. Greens are rolling true. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape.
Great greens, staff, fairways
Great course conditions. No complaints, looks like they’ve watered a ton as everything was green. Lady in the pro shop was the best, she helped me with a tee time issue and was so kind as opposed to most other pro shop workers you run across at other courses. Will return soon.
First Time Playing Sugar Tree
This is a difficult course for beginners but if you like hitting for distance there are lots of opportunities. It has some fun challenges as well. I had fun and that’s what it’s all about. The entire staff is super friendly and neighborly like all Texans.
Best shape ever
The new owner has really put time and money into the course. Verticut and rolling the greens made them fantastic They are removing some trees and adding tee boxes to make the course a bit longer. It really rewards hitting the fairway. Been playing this course for about 7 years and it’s the best I’ve ever seen it.
