The 6,810 yard SugarTree Golf Club layout includes the banks of the Brazos River, 55 sand bunkers, water features, and challenging fairways lined by live oaks, pecans, hackberry trees, and others. Water is in play on 13 holes and you need to bend tee shots left and right. In voting by Texas PGA Professionals, SugarTree Golf Club was selected number 18 in the entire state of Texas.

Worth the trip!
Had an amazing time playing this fun, but challenging course. It was in fantastic shape and if you live somewhat close to Lipan it is worth the drive.
Overall great experience
I loved the course. The greens rolled perfectly. It’s outside of town so it seems so tranquil. The happen to talk to the owners after my round and they were great. They told me they just took over and they are making a lot of improvements. I can’t wait to see what the course looks like after that. I’ll be back!!!
Sugar Tree never disappoints
As always the course was great! It’s always challenging and will test your shotmaking abilities. Do yourself a favor keep the driver in the bag on hopes you don’t need it!
Looking Great
5th time playing this course, and the rain has really made it look amazing. Plenty of wildlife as usual, and great scenic views. Would be nice to see the water wheel spinning on Hole 12 someday, but that’s just a bonus. Solid, fun course.
My Favorite Course
I think Sugar Tree is a beautiful course. Yesterday I was privileged to see some deer on the course. The fairways are narrow which doesn’t bother me. The greens were in good shape. Great course!
Not a fan of the small parking lot and overflow parking with no courtesy pick up. Otherwise, friendly staff, course was in very good condition. Play speed was on spot, 4.5 hours with a food break. Definitely be back.
