Cedar Crest Golf Club
About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

The course is in really good shape for the Fall season. About 2 months ago there where some sort of weed trying to come up throughout all the greens. That problem has been taken care of and the greens are in better shape now than they have been in a long time.
Course was in very good shape!
I was impressed with the condition of the course overall. The only two things I would mention is that a few holes are under construction but I applaud the effort to improve the layout. The only negative is that they were soaking or had soaked the greens in the middle of the round so it was hard to figure out the pure roll of the greens.
Very nice course!
Greens and fairways in great shape. Course great for all levels.
Excellent "Hot Deal" Deal
The fairways were a delight to hit off of. A few of the greens were pretty beat up from ball marks and other imperfections, but that did not significantly detract from the overall very positive experience.
The pace of play on the first nine was almost as painful as having a root canal. It took something like three hours. At the turn, I felt like I had already played a full 18 holes. However, the back nine pace was very good.
All things considered, I really enjoyed Cedar Crest and plan to play there again the next time I'm in the area.
Great day
This was my Second time playing and it was great. The greens on the front had a ton of sand on them. I was told by the staff it was because of crab grass and divots not being fixed. The greens in the back were okay but had a lot of divots that weren’t fixed. My advice is if you come to play any course fix your divots on the green.
Awesome fairways
While second fairway is near finished, rest of fairways and fringes are in the best shape I have seen in years. Felt like I was at a country club.
Greens a little slow, but true. They keep them pretty moist as they’re bent grass
Awesome experience
This was my first time playing this course and I couldn’t ask for a better time. I had the chance to play with a regular that showed me around which was great. The course was playable and challenging at the same time. I definitely will be coming back very soon.
Worth Playing
Another enjoyable round here.
I’ll be back several times this year.
Try it, you may enjoy
I don’t have a regular group to play with, never have a problem finding someone or maybe I’m the fourth. Course has always been in good shape for the time of year that I have played. Players should fix their ball marks and repair the divots they make and that would make it even better. (8.3)
Fun round of golf
Nice course. Good value as a HOT DEAL rate. Ongoing improvements in parts of the course. Greens putted to slow in my opinion. Back nine is very tight on some of the holes.
Cedar crest
It’s in great shape since the last time I played. Challenging fairways for the novice like myself. Bring a couple extra sleeves as you’ll loose a couple
Hidden Gem
Brought two friends who hadn't played before. Used to Nashville Metro courses, a bit skeptical about driving down to Murfreesboro. By the end of the round, they were fully converted over to CC. Always fun round, back nine is awesome!
Great experience
Very friendly staff and great experience to entertain customers on Memorial Day!
