About
Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are situated on a scenic stretch of coastline, just a few miles west of Bethany Beach. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations that tumble across sandy dunes and grassy hollows. The natural contours of the coastal landscape largely determined the movement and flow of all three nine-hole courses. The nines, Grizzle, Kodiak, and Black Bear, all have winding fairways bordered by native wetland grasses and lush, oversized greens that boast some of the best conditions on the Eastern Shore. The Black Bear/Grizzly combination is the longest of the three golf courses. Not only does the coastal terrain provide many natural hazards, including several water features, there are also strategically placed bunkers with which to contend.

Awesome, cart path only because of rain, but all around wonderful!
Fun course
I often play as a single and the staff are excellent at either pairing me up with other players or allowing me to play as a single on whichever 9 isn't crowded.
The course was in excellent condition with moderately paced greens.
Always a beautiful course to play
some very big greens, a little bit of everything s far as water holes, pin placement, traps, trees etc...I am not good golfer by any means, but one of my favorite courses to play. Grass was high today which made it extra challenging. Never a bad choice for a round of golf.
3 good nines.
Played black bear and grizzly. A few days before we played they plugged all the
greens, they forgot to mention that to us. Course in good shape for all the rain they had. We got paired up with 2 guys who wanted to play the blended tees. Par threes were all good, lots of bunkers, lots of water.
First Outing Of The Season
Staff was a #1 & the course was in excellent shape, for so early in the season.
Two half’s
The set up was crazy! The front Kodak course only had forward tees and a combo tee that was moved all the way up. Waaay to short. Most of the par 4 left me with half wedges into green. Course was in ruff shape after winter but loved the layout and staff was nice and friendly
The back 9 was black bear where all tee boxes was available, I played from the back tees to make up for the short front. That 9 was in better shape but not as pretty as the other one. Great value
Good course.
Got a good deal under 20 bucks. Very cold today mid 30s. Three nine hole courses. I’d go back to try the one I we didn’t play. Lots of sand traps some water. Fair challenge
Best value at the beach using Golf Now.
Played 2ce this week using Golf Now. Closed out 2018 and started 2019 at Bear Trap Dunes. Great time. Looking forward to coming back

Can’t best the deal
Nice 27 hole layout and super staff ....restaurant super too....our favorite at the beach!
Nice layout
Great pace of play, finished in 3 1/2 hours. Shame that other golfers don't fix their ballmarks or fill in their divots. Attractive course that has an interesting layout. Lots of water to penalize you with errant shots.
Bear Trap
Staff was great, speed of play was great and course was in good condition, fairways were excellent and green rolled nice.
Traps, Water and Dunes
Today was misty and windy, so there were few golfers. I got a great rate through GolfNow. The 3 nines are similar (see review title), and the three tee options make it playable for everyone. It’s fairly easy if you keep drives in the fairway. This course gets too much play from golfers who don’t take care of it - the fairways had so many divots and the greens had ball marks.
Can't Control the weather
It rained for about an hour before i tee'd off so the course was very soggy and cart path only. The course is fun. I'd say it plays short, even from the blue tees. It is narrow though so you have to be accurate off the tee and if you are, you normally have a wedge or short iron in.
