Great challenging course
we are really enjoying playing the course. The staff is friendly and professional. I would recommend to friends.
Perfect day
Fairways were lush and soft, not much run out. Greens were hard and fast, well protected. Although they were just aerated. Pace of play was just over 4 hrs.

This course is beautiful.
You can’t beat the views along side the New River. The club house is amazing and everyone was really friendly! Don’t wear Chicago Bears colors, or they will think you like UVA! Lol
Good Course
The course is good but the roughs are brutal. The fairways and greens are narrow. The course is not to par with the hype made on the reviews. I think Hanging Rock was more enjoyable for our group of 12 golfers who played these courses over the past weekend.
Greens need some help
Course was in great shape until you reached the greens. They need some help. They were abused with unrepaired pitch marks and some decent sized dead spots. On the back we had to wait momentarily while the greens were being watered.
The layout is excellent and we really enjoyed our round today. Staff was great and helpful
River Course always delivers!
This is a wonderful course. Lots of unique views and unique shots. Course can be slow sometimes but the views and quality of course make up for it!
Great Course, Superior Value
$25 to walk a Pete Dye Course that was in excellent condition? One of the best values I have ever had in 40 years of golf. On a calm day this would be a challenging course. The wind blew at 25mph and it was an absolute beast, but no less enjoyable. It is an easy walk, tees and greens in close proximity. The only hard part was the walk back up the hill to the clubhouse after 18. Long and steep, could have used a Sherpa. Clubhouse looks excellent, but was closed due to Covid 19. Highly recommend.
Great golf course !
Very nice golf course. It was my first time playing this course and I hope it’s not my last. It is one of the best golf courses Virginia.
Wonderful course
Early season round so not fully green. Several tee boxes under repair. High grasses not fully grown in made course more open. Greens rolled true. Challenging layout. Beautiful views of the river and mountains.
