Great layout, scenic views, black tees are a test. Good drive & still 230 in on a couple par fours.. Would reccomend.

Wonderful day. Great course. Beautiful location.
The scenery along the New River is spectacular. The course is not too difficult from the Correct tees, as we quickly decided to move up. Fairways had been aerated and were wet. But, the course is straightforward. A little local knowledge where misplaced aiming poles will lead you astray would be helpful, but overall, a good challenge. Would now like to play it again. Guess that is the sign of a good course!! For the money, a great experience.

Great time as always!
Had a blast playing this spot for the fourth time. The weather was excellent and we really enjoyed the challenge and layout of the course. Bunkers really got us on the back 9! Didn’t check out the restaurant but plan to do so next time. Will absolutely play again.

phenomenal golf experience
was traveling thru the area and stopped off on blacksburg ..had time to get in 18 & wow what a pleasant experience ..
was treated like a valued long time member by the Pro & Staff ..great volunteer group of people too
i am planning a destination return golf outing with buddies
the course was in immaculate condition and Pete Dye wasn't as "mean" here as he is at other of his designed courses :for an am :)

Worth it!
I have played this course twice now and it is the perfect blend of Beauty and a challenging course. Raised greens right on the river make for a great time. Come emotionally prepared!

Great course
I played this course because the greens had been plugged which made it only 25$. This course is always around 50 at the minimum and the best course in NRV. The course is beautiful and parallels the river, the wind is always changing and makes each shot different.

New To The Course
Excellent experience for the first time. Greeted by nice guys who wanted to help and made sure we had a good experience. Course was in fair condition, greens we punched and sanded which made putting difficult. Layout on the New River is spectacular and well worth a visit. Narrow fairways and small greens also made it challenging. Pace of play was slow. Post round in the clubhouse was also slow service. Overall very glad we came and certainly would do so again if in the area.

Great course
Aerated but we were informed on golfnow but for 18 bucks this is a super deal. Staff is great layout excellent! Take of two nines but have played it since it opened!!

Greens had just been punched so putting was a not so good.. Fairways were growing in.

Unmasked Swingers
Great overall. Wonderful people and the course is fun. Greens have plenty of runoff. It’s flat for this area but most greens are elevated and keeping the ball on them can be tough. Club choice is tricky. No one there and I mean no one wore a mask but us. I don’t think Dr. Fauci would play there.

Not The Best
Tough round at the River today, greens were hard as rocks so great drives and/or second shots were definitely not rewarded. Ball would bounce like it hit cart path when landing on the green. Fairways were mowed so close so hardly any “grass” to hit off of...several high schoolers out walking prepping for state tournament this week so pace of play was as bad as I have experienced at the course.

We work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and to best control pace allowing everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We see you rated the greens as to firm and the fairways cut too short. We want them rolling quick and firm, but not to the point you described. We are always working to improve! Challenging
Hard fast greens. Challenging course with the speed of the greens. Good layout some tight fairways with bunkers on either side. Will play again.
