Tradition should be closed
The Tradition nine had three temp greens (read: flags LITERALLY in the fairway with no putting surface) and three more in terrible shape… it should be decommissioned until fixed. Heritage course was fine - greens a bit beat up but not bad.
All But The Greens
This course has been recently renovated and is great except for the greens which are way too new and soft to be played on right now. Just wiping my ball on the green left an indentation in the green. The rest of the course was great. The layout was great. It was repeated many times in my group , "if the greens were better then this course would be great". Until the greens first up, I will wait to return so I don't have to dodge 20-30 ball marks each 20 foot putt
Overbooked
Good luck. They price their rounds great bc they pack us in like cattle out there. Have fun with 3 groups of 4 per hole. You’ll be waiting on the tee box w a group while you watch 2 others ahead of you play out the hole. Also there’s heavy construction going on. You’re wasting your money here until they start respecting your time. Till then they will tee groups off every 8-10 mins.
Good course for the money.
Good course for the money. Greens are pretty damaged from unprepared divots but overall can’t complain too much.
The mid round bvg and food were closed and no cart girl was disappointing.
Disappointed
Excited to play to after the recent renovation… front nine (legacy ) was enjoyable pace of place back nine (heritage) was pitifully slow… called clubhouse and ask that a Marshall be sent out never saw one…. Greens we pretty beat up with countless unrepaired ball marks…. Lastly for all the auto notifications ( think loud door bell) encouraging repair of ball marks a course should be offered on flag stick / ball removal from the cup… half the cup rims we worn down
this place is always a disaster
I have been playing here fairly regularly over the course of a year in hopes construction will be over, but it's ALWAYS something. Today, there was no construction but maintenance was all over. They didn't clear when approached, stopped in your lines, sprinklers went off on me as I was putting on one hole, and the kicker--several holes were in fairway bc greens were so bad (think putting on a fairway and playing 70-80yrds shorter). Tell people upon checking- set their expectations and people won't be so annoyed. They said that's why they have a discounted price, which if that's the discount, I didn't even notice. They had nothing to say when I addressed it after the round. The management leaves these kids to fend off frustrated patrons instead of being out in the clubhouse w them. Pitiful management. I rarely complain and am just happy to be out there, but today was especially awful.
Great Public Course
Really love playing here. Now that everything is consolidated to 18 holes and renovations have been done it was much better than a month ago. Greens can use some work. Some were in rough shape. Overall satisfied.
Skip the trip
This place was a disaster. They said they had completely renovated one of the course but it was totally run down. The carts were also beat up and mine had to be replaced around the 4th or 5th hole. The manager was a jerk but the other staff members were very nice.
Greens need attention
The facility is really great. Beautiful pro shop, nice range, great grill (although would it kill them to include just ONE vegetarian option?). And for the proximity to in-town, it's a decent course. It's a bit tricked up for my taste in that every fairway and green has so many undulations but others may like it. And the fairways were in good shape. The greens, though, are another story. The are sooooo hairy and slow, and the cups are so raggedy around the edges that it's like a muni course. And because they are so spongy and slow the divot marks are like potholes. I don't particularly like super fast greens but these are just not well maintained.
Saturday golf
The course has undergone some good renovations, plays well. Greens were bumpy due to aeration. We tee'd off about 20 late due to start times but the staff was friendly and kept everyone moving.
Course was Great / Renovations really good
This is my first back playing Heritage since the renovations to the Legacy and Heritage courses. I was really impressed with what they have done to the course. Our biggest complaint in the past about playing Heritage on the weekends was the PACE of play. Today we teed off at 11:00 AM and played in 4 hours and 20 mins and it is only going to get better the GM let me know that they are going to move to 12 min tee times to help improve the PACE of play even more. From the time we checked in with the friendly staff letting us know about the renovations and upgrades they have done to the new huge putting green they installed this was a different and great experience at Heritage, we even enjoyed talking to the starter Heath was great. After the round the food was awesome we had the lunch special and a few beers after the round sitting on the patio and watch The Open on the tv's they have outside with an awesome view over looking the lake.
If you are looking for a great track in the Metro area please go over and give the newly renovated Heritage Golf Links a look. They let us know the Legacy and Heritage 9's will be the only courses open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting in August. They do know the greens on Tradition 9 are bad and are offering discounts during weekdays when this course is played
