Heritage Golf Links - Legacy Nine

There is no golf etiquette here. Slow players don't let you play though, and the starter will stack you five deep because they have no clue. The greens are in terrible condition. There is no consistency, slow fast. The only consistent thing about the greens is the hundreds of pitch marks left by the lazy golfers who don't repair their marks. They have ruined the greens. Go see for yourself, I've never seen anything like it in my life. Hundreds of pitch marks on every green. The course is a great layout with greens that are challenging. The up keep is terrible due to poor etiquette golfers. Avoid this course unless you have 4.5 hours to spare. I would go private if I were them.

This is a very challenging GC in awesome shape. Tough greens with a lot of elevation changes. Staff was awesome’!

I would give this course 5 stars all around, however the Marshalls could’ve kept people from fishing for golf balls out of the water which slowed it down. Greens were a little bumpy but overall I loved this course!

I would have rated course conditions a 5 but for the fact that too many golfers who play this course refuse for some reason to correct their ball marks on the greens or rake the bunkers. I just don't get it.

Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. Same with bunkers. The greens are in rough shape and ridiculously difficult. PGA level pin placement on some that made it feel more like a putt-putt course at times. And the driving range is awful - the “mats” that you have to hit off are basically like hitting off concrete. It’s shameful they haven’t put some money into changing them out by now.

This is a metro Atlanta jem. The renovation eliminated the squirrelly stuff in the original design and replaced it with well placed bunkers and less punitive greens.
