Heritage Golf Links - Legacy Nine

Course looks and plays great. Very challenging. Pace of play continues to be an issue though. Plenty of staff but never once saw a marshal. Group in front of us was dreadfully slow.

2nd time playing here. Course is in excellent shape. Greens are fast, well maintained. Fairways and tee boxes in good shape (though sad how many people don't put sand down after gashing the ground); Layout is fun and very challenging, you can't just blast away on this course, it requires a lot of touch shots off the tee. The undulating hills/gulleys throughout every fairway are a little annoying and arbitrary, but they didn't spoil my round. You just have to be prepared to hit off of a lot of sloped lies, which shouldn't be punishment after hitting a great drive, but here, it is. All in all though, this is a well run and well maintained facility. Practice range and putting practice green were also great. Staff is very friendly and professional.

Fairways and greens are in excellent conditions. A few tee boxes could use some attention but overall great!

The layout is pretty good but it is the amazing greens which make it a class higher

They are huge and have huge slopes..

Enjoyed my day.. just wish it was easier to get to from a distance. Took 1.40 from Athens in the morning.. Locals have it good

Pace of play is a big issue here - if you are teeing off after 2 you may not finish your round whether if it’s due to sun going down or your flat out frustrated with the pace.

Tee times are set apart ten minutes - and for the most part I think the course and managers take care of this. Could boil down to the players really - which I think all courses need to start governing the tee boxes that players play from. If you don’t have verified handicap of 9 or less please stop playing from the back tees. It’s excruciating to watch players hit 200 yd drives into the woods or top one to next tee box from the back tees.

Course is great but, now has a rider fee which is high, which is not worth it for me and my 6 year old son to enjoy our time together.. but has upgraded carts feature which was not there before

I’ve only been golfing for a few years, so my experience is limited, but this is by far the best public course I’ve played on in Georgia! Perfect greens, friendly staff, and amazing views! I’ll definitely be back!

Delay with getting mark cart. But the pace of play was excepted for that time of day. Folks are not repairing there ball marks.
