Golf Carts

The course is in excellent shape and enjoy playing it. But the golf carts are in bad shape run poorly and half of them brakes are bad. Very dangerous

Needs work

The course has definitely gone downhill over the last couple years. Bunkers, Tee boxes, and especially the cart paths were in really rough shape. Maybe the worst I’ve ever seen. Definitely avoid this course until they can put some work back into it. Greens were somewhat decent.

Good Bones, Needs TLC

Fun course with a layout that makes you think. Fairways/greens were decent. Tee boxes and bunkers need work, and the cart paths are brutal in spots. A little overpriced for the current condition. If they fix up the tee boxes and traps, it’d be a great deal. Bring your shot-making — local knowledge helps.

Big Change

Over the years I have seen Southland golf course make a outstanding renovation to the course. It's in excellent shape. Especially the greens. Keep up the great work.

Southland

For the price and location, the course had excellent greens, challenging layout, and decent length. Unfortunately, some of the tee boxes are in horrible shape.

Some Rough Spots, but Interesting Track

First, the not so good. Tee boxes and sand traps need a lot of work as do some cart paths. Pretty fun layout overall with a variety of elevation changes, doglegs, a few blind shots, and water holes. The greens, while not the fastest, were generally smooth and in good shape. Especially enjoyed the back nine from about 13 on. Will definitely play again, especially with Golfnow Hot Deals available.

Good course to play to avoid a crowd on a weekday

Not the best course. It was originally a nine hole course converted to 18 holes later and you can tell. Some of the fairways are wide but several of them are quite narrow so bring plenty of balls if you are a high handicap player. Tee boxes are bare dirt on a few holes.

Not expensive but still overpriced for the conditions. For a few dollars more you will get better course conditions at nearby Mystery Valley course.

Excellant greens and fairways

Pace of play was terrific. Greens and fairways per in great shape. Some of the cart paths are pretty rough. And some of the tee boxes are a little bare. But overall and great day on the course.

avoid at all costs

First, there is no water to drink on entire course. The tee boxes were dirt. The course was extremely short because all the tee boxes were moved up. It was a horrible experience. Not worth any money

Goo course

Good course overall. The cart paths could use some work, as they’re pretty beat up, and a couple of the tee boxes weren’t in the best shape. That said, it’s a nice course for the money with a good layout, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back.

weirdly good bad course

This course is a bit low end. There is barely a clubhouse. No food or drink (other than a vending machine). Everything is in fairly bad condition except for one thing, the greens. It's really bizarre. The greens are really good. The layout is fun, but most teeboxes are bare or rocky/muddy. Cart paths are nearly dangerous they are so bad. Fairways are cut but not great. They don't have a USGA membership so you can't use a handicap. It's basically jank. But the greens and around them are as good any around here, heck, better! This place could be SO good if they would invest nearly any money in it. It's a real shame.

Disappointed

The greens were in good shape…everything else; and I mean everything else about the course was atrocious! It was over grown, tee boxes didn’t have green, the fairways if you want to call them that had patches of grass here and there. The carts were terrible. All in all a horrible experience.
