Great Place To Golf
I've played at Heritage Golf Links a few times now. The staff are fantastic, the course is in great condition. The golfers are very respective and patient. Love This Course.
The bunkers are horrible!!!
I play often at Heritage as it is close to my house and really enjoy the layout of the Legacy and Heritage nines, but the bunkers are simply horrible. Most have little to no sand and those that do have one inch of sand here and five inches there, so you have no idea what your shot will do. In addition, most bunkers have so many stones in the sand that you risk ruining a club if you do attempt the shot. This year has been unusually wet which has contributed to their poor conditions, but these situations have existed for the three years I have been playing here regularly. If there were fewer bunkers, but they were in better condition, it would make a world of difference.
The staff is good, especially the Starters - Jerry, Geoff, and Ron who are great! They always make me smile.
No good service
Most of golf course give golfer cart per person. Because of social distance corona.
If 4 people golfer needs 4 carts.but this course gave only 2 carts. They said " 2 people have to work,if you need more cart you have to pay extra charge" it's a non comonsense.
Because we arleady paid green fee and cart fee.
I don't know whoose idea!!!
Wow Extra charge!!!!
You are good business and more make money!!!!because of corona!!!
It is very no good....
Not worth $75
Greens in decent shape but that’s it. Tee boxes, fairways and rough are in terrible shape. Bunkers completely gone and washed out. Course layout is hilly and tight. A few memorable/note worthy holes, the rest tend to run together. Green contours are a bit bizarre. $40 course tops. Certainly not double that.
New Year’s Eve Golf
Greens over the top with number of shelves within green. Greens conditions poor to fair due to golfers not repairing divots. That, along with Too many shelves makes greens frustrating. Course books too many foursome for good play management.
Tough layout, but has potential
Greens are pretty inconsistent. Fairways are wide enough, but have TONS of swales and drainage, you could hit one down the middle and end up having to take relief from a storm drain. Also really undulating, no flat spots on the entire course. If all you care about is how tough a course you can play, this is your ticket.
Good track!
Good layout and well worth playing. Cart paths well past their use-by date, very poorly maintained, and make the trip around the course extremely rough.
Great Design with green undulations
Although the fairways were not overseeded, the Bermuda was great to play on. The tee boxes were in rough condition in some areas. The greens were quick and true, very nice!
Horrendous Pace of Play!
This course is fun with a ton of potential, and is obvious that money is being put into the course. However, until the pace of play issues are addressed we will not be back, and will be sure to tell all of our playing partners to play at their own risk. For those who are thinking about a tee time on this course, we played yesterday on a Monday afternoon and the play on the front nine was a little slow but acceptable as it was a holiday. The back nine though was a completely different story. When we go to 10 there was some how another group in front of us now, and they were standing on the tee box. So it's clear, there was a group on the green, a group in the fairway and now two groups waiting the tee box. Then on hole 16 a cart with a single golfer passes us, and joins the foursome two groups in front of us, making it a fivesome and slowing play down even more. It took nearly 3 hours to play the back nine! I won't even mention that they had a tournament of some sort on the course (which was not mentioned when making our tee time), and the ranger tried to hold us on the first tee so that the entire tournament could play through.
The downside to all of this is that the course was in great shape for this time of year, and it was obvious they have put work into the greens and bunkers. However, as long as they overbook the course and refuse to manage pace of play, I will not be back!
Heritage is moving in the right direction
This is a fun track and current management is doing some really good things out there. For the amount of play it gets the greens are looking good, as are the fairways. Bunkers and tee boxes could use a little more love.
Keep up the good work over there, it's starting to shine.
Heritage Golf
I play there because it's close, I feel it's a little tricked up for my taste, to many unneeded undulations in fairway, to many undulations/levels on greens, again for my taste. Course was in great shape. I will play again.
A Continuing Disappointment
I love this layout. What I don't love is the slow play, the absence of marshalls, the horrid "sand" traps, and the butchered bent grass greens. Unfortunately, those problems never get addressed. It's a shame.
Filled with birds' dung
There are too many blind shots.
All kinds of dungs are everywhere especially on the greens.
Slow course. Horrible greens.
This course is rapidly going downhill. Played on a Saturday. 6 holes in and we were at 2 hours. I called the clubhouse and they sent a marshal. He spoke to the 2 groups holding things up. One sped up and one didn’t. Made the turn at close to 3 hours. Pace picked up a little bit but we finished at 5 hours 40 minutes.
And the course itself is a dump. Worst greens in the Atlanta metro area. Slow and full of bare spots and indentations where no one cleans up their pitch marks. Hole 3 had leaves that were ground in to the green. Fairways were full of divots they never get filled.
For as much play as this course gets, one would hope the revenue would support rangers going around the course and efforts to keep the course playable.
