About
Eight years before he built Colonial Country Club, John Bredemus came to Fort Worth to build Meadowbrook Municipal Golf Course. The city bought the facility years later and brought Ralph Plummer in for renovations in 1962, when the creation of dams formed five new lakes and improved the irrigation system. No. 5 should probably be a par 5 for most hackers -- it plays 475 yards with water on the left of the dogleg, trees are on the right, and the approach must carry a creek. Don't worry about a bogey on this one. The 16th is another long par 4 that features an approach over water to the green. The two best birdie opportunities are nos. 7 and 14, both short par 4s that should leave you with only a short iron into the green.

Greens are in poor condition.
Greens are totally trashed. Large swaths of many geens are void of grass. Pace of play was good, largely due to the course being empty.
Challenging
I walked the course and found that it was a lot hillier than I expected. Not again, Cart next time. The course was great shape..
Very Sad
Been awhile since played here went Monday 4/4/22 every green was lost and painted is worst i have ever seen on any course. Guess since they are talking of redoing course they have totaly quit taking care of it and spending money .I will not waste time or money to ever play here again. Be warned not worth to play they should pay you to come play this goat track
Muni Golf
First played this track over 25 years ago. Was always in top shape. Well, I guess management changes and time have caught up to it. Not as nice as I remembered. I will play again during the week.
Great course
Great course overall! A few of the greens were a little rough but otherwise no issues. We got stuck behind an older couple that slowed our pace of play, and it was hard to see where they were with some of the hills and trees but it didn’t bother us enough to not want to go back
Great course and great staff
Played with my wife and her father who was visiting from Norway. We had a great time walking the course. The staff was very friendly and we had a great time playing.
Unplayable
I'm hoping the course's unplayable status is due to the winter but I'm guessing it still struggles with the same issue throughout the year.
It's the wild west out there concerning tee times. They let singles tee off whenever and wherever they decide from my limited experience quitting after 9 fairly miserable holes.
The greens and fairways have little to no grass left so playing golf there is akin to playing on concrete. If that's your idea of fun, you'll love it!
Cannot recommend anyone golf there unless it is the last course available to you...even then, I'd skip and golf another course on another day.
Meadowvrook
Oldest course in Fort Worth. Layout change is coming soon get out and play a historic course.
Fair course for a good price
Meadowbrook is challenging with a lot of elevation change. The greens are very fast and have a ton of break. The fairways are decent. Good value for money, would play here again.
Not enough carts many
City of ft. Worth should invest in repairing or buying more carts for the course
Horrific Backlog
They book tee times 9 minutes apart. Would probably be okay, but then they slipped in various groups (many two somes between those times). We waited 30 minutes to tee off. Had to wait on every single hole. Truly horribly managed.
Garbage
This course is garbage. Bad in the summer months and even worse in the winter. Is anyone even maintaining the course? I understand that winter conditions suck, but this was just garbage.
