About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Great course
It was a great course with a perfect layout. Would for sure head back here for the value of the tee times and the course. Only complain was 18 holes played and we didn’t see the cart girl once. Other than that it was a beautiful day of golf.

Fairways
They are repairing some greens and those are in good condition, but some fairways are very dry. This course was in better shape 2 months ago.

Did they fire the Greenskeeper… Yet?
I’d like to say I enjoyed playing this course, especially given the outrageous $70 greens fee for a Sunday afternoon, however the course is in such horrible condition that enjoyment was out of the question. Do they even have a Greenskeeper out here? Large stretches of bare, cracked earth in the fairway and rough, and greens so shaggy that a true-rolling put was impossible would indicate that he stopped showing up for work a while ago. The course layout ought to make for an enjoyable round, however the lack of upkeep makes that an unrealistic expectation. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Worth playing
Overall I liked the course i liked the back 9 holes much more than the front 9. The greens were in good shape. Most of the tee boxes we in good shape. Didn’t go inside ir try food.

Arcis needs to put some money into this course
Bathrooms were finally finished and in good shape, but the floor is still a mess inside and the bar/concession is terrible. It’s been almost 3 years. It’s too much. Put some money in the course.
No water jugs on the course…the one cooler we found was like this. Zoom in on the pic for the note we found

6.5 hour pace of play
Slow play, slow greens, we tried to get part of our Money back after 9 holes and they gave us proshop credit

July swamp
It hadn't rained in 7 days, yet many of the fairways were swampy, leaving cart tracks and mud everywhere on the course. We were very puzzled about the amount of water on the course considering the constant triple digit temps for 7 straight days and no rain.
Greens & tee boxes were fine, but the amount of unplayable fairway / first cut of rough due to oversaturated ground was very frustrating.
Thank goodness for Emily being very present on the course to help offset the course conditions and pace of play. The group in front of us were playing from 3 different tee boxes and studied the greens as if they were playing Sunday at Augusta.

Overall, course and greens were in improved condition compared to previous visits. Staff here is always friendly. There was no course marshal, which would have aided in moderating the groups in front of us who drove on the greens, another group who played with no shoes and littered on the course, and overall, better managed the proper pace of play.
