About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

First Time Eval
Like many public courses between December and April, playing before the fairways green up has its challenges and this is not exception. Any area off the fairway is even tougher. Some of the holes have hidden water challenges and the map on the scorecard is tiny. Value was great and staff was terrific. Will come back once the conditions improve ...
Could be a good track
…but it needs some attention. It’s in a neighborhood and is constrained by that. However, there are just too many shortcomings to rate it higher. The tee boxes varied widely in condition, with some having no level footing. The course has also had drainage issues since I started playing there, but there are some places where I feel like they could be remedied. On the positive side, the greens were in good condition and rolled true, minus the leaves leftover from a recent storm.

Plantation
Overall a good course and nice value for the money. The biggest issue with the course is pace of play, and lack of any Marshall’s on the course to ensure a proper pace of play. We encounter groups of 5 hitting multiple shots on every tee box, at one time there were 3 groups lined up waiting for the group of 5. The staff in clubhouse very friendly.

water
took my boys to play - 15 and 11. lost a lot of balls in the water so be prepared for that with inexperienced players as around 6 holes are near or through water. group ahead started late so lots of pressure and a very busy course, but overall a very good experience for the money.

Arcis/Frisco need to invest here
This course is long overdue for some significant improvements. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all need work. Sand traps need complete overhaul.

Unplayable condition for the money
They should have closed the day I played, which is the next day of rain. The course was all mud, puddle, etc just unplayable. I never played this kind of terrible course in my 30 years of playing golf.

Dry
Very dry, but so is everything else. This was my first time here finished in 2 1/2 hours. Fun little course, every club in the bag gets use. I will definitely be back during spring when the grass is green.

Going Downhill Fast
I’ve played Plantation many times since moving to Frisco 5 years ago and even send my kids to golf camp here during the summer. This was BY FAR the worst I’ve ever seen it. The layout still remains nice and tight but everything else was a disaster.
Greens not good - hard, bumpy, sandy.
Fairways a disaster - hard and fast, you are straight up hitting off deadpan. There are many precise shots where a creek is at 225 or 250 and the ball would just roll into the creek from a simple 6 iron.
No cart service.
No bathrooms - had to use the port a potty.
All this fun cost $135 for 2….
I would stay far away until they figure this out.

Plantation resort
Nice chorus, waiting for the clubhouse to be redesigned. Would like to see them make it into more of a restaurant for the neighborhood to visit, and bar. Suggest a starter that could also be arranger. More white sand would be helpful also. Great people.

Wow..think I could of putted the ball 200 yards on fairway..faster than the greens

Course not good bathrooms not fixed
The course could be better. The greens were terrible maybe because time of year. They had no functioning bathrooms except a mobile one outside. The staff was not friendly and the cart girl passed us by without as much as a hello four times. Last but not least the ground was hard and the grass not cut near green. Again this maybe because time of year. All in all I could have kept my money until later this year.

Poorest I've ever seen the greens. Bumpy, pitted, sandy, furry, uneven.
