About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Horrible conditions
Like the layout, pace of play horrible. Conditions of greens poor. Traps horrible with rocks. Fairways hard as pavement.

Has lots of potential
Fairways were in decent shape, greens were not in good shape. They haven’t been taken care of, sand in the traps was not fluffy. To add to the course conditions the driving range was closed on Saturday.

Fairways like a cart path
Greens are half-way destroyed due to excessive heat damage and lack of care.
The other half of the greens are great.
Fairways are as hard as the cart paths. Do not appear to be watered regularly.
With the requirement for pre-payment for the whole group and condition of the fairways, save you money and go somewhere else.
I used to live off of #14 fairway, and used to play the course daily. It has gone down hill in the past 5 yrs since I moved.
The younger gentleman at the club counter was rude and discourteous.

Save your money
Bad. $72 on a Sunday morning. The fairways are mostly dirt, might as well be playing out of divots all day. Greens are over watered and slow. Bar is under stocked. No transfusion! Sad! Very unfair!

First Time Eval
Like many public courses between December and April, playing before the fairways green up has its challenges and this is not exception. Any area off the fairway is even tougher. Some of the holes have hidden water challenges and the map on the scorecard is tiny. Value was great and staff was terrific. Will come back once the conditions improve ...
Could be a good track
…but it needs some attention. It’s in a neighborhood and is constrained by that. However, there are just too many shortcomings to rate it higher. The tee boxes varied widely in condition, with some having no level footing. The course has also had drainage issues since I started playing there, but there are some places where I feel like they could be remedied. On the positive side, the greens were in good condition and rolled true, minus the leaves leftover from a recent storm.

Plantation
Overall a good course and nice value for the money. The biggest issue with the course is pace of play, and lack of any Marshall’s on the course to ensure a proper pace of play. We encounter groups of 5 hitting multiple shots on every tee box, at one time there were 3 groups lined up waiting for the group of 5. The staff in clubhouse very friendly.

water
took my boys to play - 15 and 11. lost a lot of balls in the water so be prepared for that with inexperienced players as around 6 holes are near or through water. group ahead started late so lots of pressure and a very busy course, but overall a very good experience for the money.

Arcis/Frisco need to invest here
This course is long overdue for some significant improvements. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all need work. Sand traps need complete overhaul.
