About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Good course, enjoyable and not too expensive.
I like playing here, nice fairways. Make sure you hit them or you will never find your ball. 🤣 some of the greens are have sandy spots and need attention. Overall a good course with reasonable pace.
The place has gone downhill
Tee boxes were full of weeds and the green were shaggy and had dirt spots. On 10 there craters in the landing area.

Needs work
Club house renovations are great. Course condition was below average for the price. Greens were not good, a lot of dead spots. Fairways and tee boxes were in ok shape, a lot of muddy areas in the rough that need sod, and tree trimming to maintain growth.

Greens need work
Played here a few times and the greens were not in good shape this time. Several bare spots. Hoping it will improve because I like the course.

Fair course
Fairways and greens are ok but other than that not very well kept up. The course has a lot of dirt and not maintained in alot of areas.

Summer time
Round was a bit slow. Course in good shape. Love the variety of holes. Enjoy courses that make you think about using different clubs.
Overall, not a good course
Paid $80 for a round here, and after playing I don’t think you could pay me $80 to play again. Greens were incredibly sandy and some even had major patches of dirt. Nearly all fairways had a few mud pits on them. This course needs a lot of work. Club house was pretty decent.

Fairways and greens
New ownership will (fingers crossed) step up the fairways and greens. At this point that is the obvious weak spot in this courses play.

Needs some work
Price has gone up and some of the holes are in pretty bad shape. Mostly good, with some effort, could be worth the cost.

They treat you like trash. Multiple times have arrived at this course to have no carts available. As an adaptive player they expect you to carry your 60 lb cart back around and hope to get a cart with 5 minutes of tee off. Mismanaged and poor oversight. Where's the professional course manager who should be assuring that numbers of players meets numbers of available transportation. Now my plus 32 person players group (business group) who used to play there will be looking for better arrangements.

Worst experience in Texas
I have never written a review before but I feel compelled to do so. The conditions at this course were the worst I have ever encountered. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging close to 100 to play here. I have never experienced greens in such poor condition. I would have been upset if my round were free

Mismanged Course
I reached the pro shop on time. Since there was only 1 employee, he was on the phone and wouldn't put priority on checking. Once i got cart keys, he told me wrong cart and guided me to wrong hole.
I finally started my round, in 10 mins, i noticed there are different players in front of me than who were before, Throughout the round, groups in front of me changed 4 times and behind me changed 3 times. I am not sure where these players were coming from. The pace of play was horrible. Start 5th hole, there were lines of players in our front. The course was horrible. mud everywhere, greens were not good. horrible spots and patches everwhere. i read 3 greens correctly but missed my putt because of bumpiness. Towards the end, on hole 16, someone cut us off. On hole 17, a fight broke out between players in front of me and the guy who cut us off. On 18th, they were going at it, screaming, threatening, etc. Couldn't finished the round because while these fights are going on, sprinklers started early. When we all reached the pro shop, we told the employee what had happened, and his response was "it happens" . We paid for the round, we couldn't finish due to mismanged course. No marshals. other people most likely friends of staff playing for free and cutting people off. and their response, "it happens"

Mismanaged course
They over sold tee times. The pace of play was horrible. Players were skipping holes or jumping ahead. No marshals or any accountability. Hifh school or college kids would start popping randomly. Not sure if they were sneaking in or had connectionss with the staff and letting them olay without any tee times.
A fight broke out on 17th because other players started playing in front of us. We couldn't finish the round because it got dark thanks to slow pace and others jumping ahead.
When we brought this up to management they acted like this is normal
