About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Great course
Fun course to play. Clubhouse under repair so not much other than golf. Staff is great though.

So/So
The pace of play was not good. We were encouraged by the starter to tee off 10 minutes early and then we waited every single hole from 2-18.
Course was in decent shape for the time of year.

First time user-good course
The course was in good shape except for a number of areas that were wet due to overwatering or sprinkler problems. Tee, green and fairways were good and course was marked well

Not Just Driver
Great layout, challenging holes that require you to think about your shots.

Value for money!
Plantation - or Frisco Farms was an awesome experience. I got a hot deal and the experience was great!
Place of play wasn’t an issue whatsoever, and while a lot is under construction with the club house I thought the actual course was good.
Greens and fairways were in great condition, the rough was rough - but that’s what I get for being a 25 handicap golfer.
I got my first birdie on hole 9.
I would absolutely come back.

Course is in good shape
Although the clubhouse is being renovated, we were taken care if quickly. Pace of play was good, we only had to wait on a couple of hokes.

Still not in bad shape
Water logged fairways. Patchy greens.
Lower the price or improve the course. Had the same comments when I played here 2 years ago and no change to the quality so I’d say it won’t happen ever.

Still Getting It Wrong
Years ago this was a go to course for me. Then I experienced a series of rounds with subpar conditions that finally culminated in a friend and I leaving at the turn the course was so bad. That was 2-3 years ago. I was desperate for a tee time near my house this day and against my better judgement booked here based on several recent reviews stating the course was in good to excellent condition. Well, its not! I won’t expand on the bad conditions. See my google review for this course from 10/15/22. It has over 3K views. Two years later I have the same complaints. One of two things needs to happen. Drop your price by $20-30 or step up your improvements yesterday. And the people playing here giving good to excellent course condition reviews need to wake up. As a golf community we need be real about what we see and experience. We pay good money for tee times and they need to be worth what we pay. The muddy fairways and greens swap out for burnt fairways and greens. This is sub 3 star course and should be priced as such.
