The Club at Frisco Farms
About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Hard to complain when you get a $27 tee time on Good Friday. 6 people ahead of us, only 5 playing but 2 were like 5 years old and you’d think they were qualifying for the Masters. However, there was nowhere for them to go. A marshal driving around would be helpful.
Watchout for your stuff!!
Decent course but sid have wingman speaker/Range finder stolen from cart after it was taken to cart return.
Manager very defensive and showed no interest in helping. He said “we’re not responsible for lost items”.
Don’t bother
Greens are n terrible condition. Teeing areas were set up in areas with no grass. Downed limbs everywhere. Had lots of GUR through the green. All in all, worst shape this course has ever been in. Stay away for now.
This course is in poor condition
First and foremost, the staff was extremely friendly but unfortunately the good review ends there. The morning greens fee was premium yet there was no place to park and the driving range was full occupancy so I was unable to warm up before a Saturday round. Moving to the course the tee boxes and fairways were beat up and subpar for courses in the area. What is more, they recently trimmed trees around the course and left the debris in the rough so errant shots would roll into large brush piles. Overall, it was a poor experience and I will take my business somewhere else. 2 stars
Greens and course were soaked?? Rains&sprinklers??
I have always played courses after rain. And cart path only was expected today. However, I have never played this course after a rain. The area had received heavy rainfall Wednesday night and the courses were closed around Frisco onThursday.
This morning however, the course was soaked. It seemed as if the watering schedule still ran and drenched the course. Puddles on cart paths were deep, and carts were driving on the soaked muddy course to avoid driving through them. If you were lucky enough to hit one near the large trees where the grass never grows, you were rewarded with mud which you could carry on your shoes for the round. the ball would get lost in mid fairway puddles. . The greens were soggy and cut with tracks. I didn’t have any problem getting the ball to stick on the approach. Lol.
I have played many courses the day after soaking rain and never this bad. The course has a great layout which I had enjoyed years ago. I generally don’t complain, as 4 hours on a course out of my cage at the office is always better.
Today I played through 7 and left muddy and disappointed. Best to inquire about the field conditions on this one folks.
Poor maintenance
Pretty poor maintenance on the fairways and areas around the cart paths. Rock hard fairways. Unpredictable green. Old golf carts.
Ok Round
Ok round at this course. Course, club house, restaurant, restrooms, driving range, all need work. All the rubber tees on the driving mats are worn out and you can barely get a ball to sit on them. The restaurant and restrooms, look like they were damaged in the freeze a couple weeks ago. Walls in the bathroom are missing and cardboard is in their place. All the floors in the coffee shop area are missing and there's nothing but cement flooring. The restrooms out on the course are closed and out of order. Several of the tee boxes are really worn out and need to be moved. The greens are in pretty decent shape.
