About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Tight course and overpriced
If you are experienced and have great control of your ball and lie this course would be an option for you. However with how narrow the course is someone with experience would not appreciate the quality of the greens for the price.
Let’s be fair
So let’s be fair to this whole course. It’s Winter, it’s during a Fake Pandemic, it was a beautiful weekend. But this course is unacceptable to the DFW area standards. I am an avid golfer to being a former caddie and a PGA tour Shotlink volunteer. Golf is my passion and this course puts a bad taste for this area. I would hope to see the renovations and the greens better kept. It’s not hard to maintain the free side mowers so they don’t leak fluids and kill the grass. IDIOTS! Need to fire your groundskeepers. Somebody sure seems to be using this course for kore than just golf.
Slow play
The day I played was Presidents day. I played 3 holes and it took almost an hour. I quit and asked the pro shop for a rain check. They would not provide a rain check and said that since this was paid using Golf Now there was nothing I could do.
The pace was way too slow. It would have been a 6 hours round if I continued.
Very disappointed they would not provide a rain check. It was not my fault they over stacked the tee sheet.
Hurry up and Wait
So there is no frost in Texas but these guys happen to have frost delays. I booked a 1:15 tee time and started about 20 minutes later which meant we'd have to hurry to finish all 18. the problem was it is slow slow out here. It took 2hr 45 min to do 9 holes. I went home after that. Lots of construction on the course right now. Fairways are dry and fast. The greens were in decent shape but fast but they kept the pins in flat areas to make putting manageable. Staff is never friendly here especially the front desk. Will give it a few months before I come back. They are not hurting for business so they don't try very hard here.

EOY 2020
Course is a decent layout and can be challenging. The greens however and shape of the fairways leaves a lot to be desired. Greens are hard as a rock, bumpy, sandy, don’t break and are way to fast for what they are.
Plantation
The course is okay ... there are a few challenging holes but otherwise unremarkable. The greens for most of the course need work especially the first 5 or 6 greens where an oil leak on a mower has permanently killed the grass . Please fix the greens!
