The Club at Frisco Farms
About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Nice course
The layout is nice and location great. The course is in great shape. My only complaint is they need to level some of the tee boxes, at least the blues.
An Average Course
The course was wet from the rain, but I feel I can a proper assessment of this course.
Tee boxes - Sloped and uneven in most cases, at least from the blues
Fairways - not too shabby actually. What I liked most about the course were the narrow fairways and difficult landing areas in some cases. It added a challenge to a course that’s only 6400 yards.
Bunkers - couldn’t make accurate assessment because of the rain, didn’t go in them either
Greens - the worst part of the course. Very difficult to determine speed because of the bareness in some areas, bumpiness which made them slick in some areas and the lines were just so far from true. I hope they fix these greens, let them grow up some, roll them, punch them, refurbish them, whatever you gotta do and I think this course will get more attraction form people who desire to play nicer courses.
Overall this course is average and a fun course to play. Works a lot of your short game, control and distance because of how short it is, it does play a little more narrow than typical courses. Thank y’all for the round! Great price on golf now I think because of the rain $13 which came out to a little bit more with fees and taxes.
Fairways need work
Tee box”s un kept
Greens firm
Sand traps un kept ( maybe covid ) no Rakes
Had a twosome jump in between our group and the one in front at the turn . No marshal . Beverage cart showed up first time number 15 .
Just Meh
I played this course because it was one of only a few near me that would allow me to reserve a tee time for a single player on a Saturday morning and the price was reasonable. This place has a great range! It’s huge, has good grass, and really nice bag holder with place for your drink. The course however, I was disappointed in. I don’t recall ever seeing a golf course with so many weeds. The layout is also a bit odd as it seems they didn’t have the space really needed for a course, so they crammed it in a smaller space, so it’s really short. So, it is what it is. It’s not fancy, but it’s a place to play for a reasonable price. You won’t get gps on the carts, and cart girls coming around to sell you drinks and snacks. It’s just a basic course.
Ok, but just average.
Course was ok, but nothing exciting. It is a little overpriced for the layout. Also, beware of the older woman in the snack bar, she is not cut out for the service industry.
Great Course As Always!
Usually try to play this course once a week, fairways and greens are always in excellent condition. This course is in my Top 3 or favorites to play in the Collin County/North Texas area! Will continue to come here forever!
Tough but fair
The course was in good shape overall with thick rough, fast greens and plenty of water. Way to many dead leaves everywhere and lots of trees too. Miss the fairway and your penalized. I’d play here again and it was pretty tough not knowing idiosyncrasies of the course.Good value option for a course in a neighborhood.
