About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Fun Course
Very well defined course, had challenging holes but also offered great opportunities for a hole in one. Great pace-of-play and the staff was very friendly. We'll play it again soon.
Overrated
Course design poor. Every tee box right by someone's backyard. Every tee box had a barking dog. And poor drainage for water.
Great fun
I took my 3 year old with me, the staff and people on the course were very friendly. Fun course to play, will be going back for sure
Fun, Fast, Good Time
Conditions were wet with a little mist. Not many golfers out. Pace was excellent and course conditions were very good except on the outside.
Had a great time and shot an 88.
Great Sunday Round at Plantation
Decided rather last minute to go out as a threesome & play 18. Got on GolfNow & got a good rate for the three of us. Course wasn't crazy busy so pace of play was great! Been playing this course for over 20 years & still 1 of our favorites. Had a terrific afternoon.
Course is fairly open, but houses are really close
It had rained the day before so the course had several muddy spots and a few with standing water.
The greens were in great shape and no waits all day long (it had turned cold and windy).
We'll play it again on a dry and warmer day!
Short but difficult.
Everything was in great shape, specially the greens. This golf course is between houses, and water, a lot of water.
Nice course ifor you can keep the ball in the middle, if you go left or right you have trees in your way. If you are not accurate around the greens you're going to be penalized. Most of the greens are surrounded by water.
Pace of play was awesome.
Booked a Hot Deal tee time before a tounament
I’m new to golf and the golfnow app. I enjoy the convenience of the app but you don’t know what you’re walking into when you book without calling. I booked a 1:15pm tee time via the app but when I arrived at the golf course I was set to play behind a tournament that hadn’t started teeing off as of 12:30pm (9/30/2016). I opted to take a $$$ loss and departed without playing since I wasn’t about to play behind a tournament that was running behind. Learning experience for me. I have nothing against the Plantation. Just bad timing on my part.
Plantation Well Maintained
This course is always in great shape. Have played many times. Its a tight, long play. Lots of houses. Greens always perfect. Got to hit them straight to score low. Hole 10 can be intimidating, with a 2 water split fairway, above average hotdogs!
The course is too close by houses.
You feel like you are playing at the ally.
Water hazard is too fealty.
Teeing ground is like ruf and dried.
Excellent Value and Fun to Play
We teed off on a Saturday at noon and the pace of play was awesome. Finished in 3:30.
Pro shop staff was super friendly, cart girls were fun, and clubhouse was excellent.
The course is a nice course. Greens were in great shape. The The greens are mostly flat. Layout has some beautiful holes and some where you are playing in a tunnel of homes along a concrete drainage ditch.
When it comes to ratings this is hard. How much do you factor in the great price. Our entire experience was 5 star and for the price the course was 5 star but in the end the layout is not 5 star.
Great Value!!!
Booked on GolfNow, great price for a last minute booking. The course was in excellent shape. The greens were fast but true. All bunkers were being re-done, but the clubhouse advised of this at the beginning of my round. A fun course to play with water on at least 10 holes. I was able to use every club in my bag. I am new to the area and will definately return to this course!

Good go-to course for a routine weekend round. Fair price, decent practice facilities. Greens were in good shape for the weather
Fun course in north Dallas
Great course with challenging holes and distances. Water comes into play on 12 of the holes. This course will require you to use other clubs off the tee besides driver, come prepared.
Great value
I played with a gentleman who plays the course regularly so he helped me get around the course. There are some strategic shots you must make to get around the course. I loved the layout and the staff was great. I will definitely play again. Great Value for the money.
Great course
Good hideout from wife and boss. If you see them don't tell them I'm there a lot ;)
Pick your positions
Enjoyed a 2 and 1/2 hour round, maybe the heat kept the afternoon crowd small. Amenities are nice greens are small so made targeting essential, will replay here again soon!
First round at this course
Hello this course was in great shape the only negative ( just a minor) is a par 3 tee box wasn't level and beat up otherwise this was a great experience and I will be back. The assistant in the Pro shop was nice, the lady at the bar and the starter were all nice and genuine. 4 Stars
A fantastic golf course!!!
I played at plantation for my first time, and as an experienced golfer I can say this is a GREAT course! The pace of play was a little slow, but it was a busy day and the staff did a marvelous job shortening the wait time. The greens are well maintained along with the rest of the course. I didn't play to well that day but a friendly young man was very kind to me as I proceeded to return my cart. Their staff is great, the course is spectacular, and for the low price, Plantation golf club is definitely worth visiting.
