A must play
This time the staff was great , very inviting and friendly. The course was in great shape and is a very challenging course. Truly. a must play. , at one time this was a country club. Now it’s open to the public, great course to play.
Vastly Improved
I have lived in Garland the last 6 years. I have played this course at least a dozen times. The team that oversees this course has definitely put in the work to improve the conditions. This course used to be in much rougher shape than it is now. Greens are well maintained, although fast for my liking. The fairways and rough are up to snuff. The only issue on the course at this point is the bunkers are still very firm. Some are downright hard.
Overall I felt like this was an excellent course for my money
No show charge
Was charged for a No show. The app would not let me cancel the night before and I did call and leave a message with the pro shop. Still charged.
Beware making weekend afternoon tee times, lack of carts
Had to wait 30 minutes to get a cart last weekend.
Duck Creek Delays
Been to duck creek several times before and Labor Day was by far the worst experience.
Tee box was overgrown. The pace of play was the worst. We got pushed back 10 mins of our original tee time and took 5.5 hrs to finish 18. No course marshal to speed up play.
For $50, wayyy to expensive for the course.
No wonder you can always find peak time reservations at this course!
Duck Creek GC
Lots of rain the afternoon before so we knew it would be wet. Labor Day brought a lot of folks to the golf course. Some of the tee boxes weren't mowed so we had to be creative with where to tee off. the course is a good one. It has some great challenges and some easier holes for the beginner. Thanks for a great day!
How about mowing
Let’s see. Range balls looked like they were plucked out of the lake. Tee boxes looked like a field. How about a mower!
Pace of play - 5 plus for a round. Seriously! Waiting 20 mins on a whole. Where’s the Marshall.
Won’t be returning.
Great Staff, fun little track
The new ownership has done a great job in bringing this course along despite issues with the drought conditions. The greens keeper and staff has done an amazing job with the greens. I want to give a big shout out to the marshal and the front desk, because on this particular morning we played there was a foursome that was extremely slow, and they didn’t care at all about the people behind them. The marshal gave them one warning and after Continuous slow play they were eventually told to leave the course which is almost unheard of, but was warranted. Thanks to them our foresome finished in just over three hours, which is amazing. Keep up the good work!
Considering the drought conditions, the course was in reasonably good shape. Greens were in good condition and rolling true. Tee boxes were a mess; extremely hard, which was to be expected, but also hard to find a level area to tee the ball. Interesting layout. Carts in great condition. Probably will play again when the course has a chance to recover from lack of rain.
Just a good average course
Ok so it’s been hot in Texas in July. So totally understandable that the course was burnt out. The greens were in great shape though.. there could be a little more up keep, but for the price it was forgivable. All around just nice to get out and play golf.
Not that bad
Let’s be real, it’s decent for what it is. Keep expectations low and enjoy a cheap round. The greens are in good shape, fairways and tee boxes not so much. It’s an old course that was unused for a long time so it could definitely be worse.
Nice place for golf
Second time golfing here. A nice place for a last minute tee time. Very manageable course which helped me shoot one of my better scores.
