Enjoyable course
Played Father's Day. Course was busy but our group got around in about 4 hours. We have played there many times and always have a good time. Course was had good grass where it can be expected. There were a couple bad spots on green but the holes were cut away from them. Overall another good experience. 18th hole needs to be reworked though.
Terrible course
Please avoid this course. I know you might be desperate for a tee time, but drive out of town and play anywhere else. This course is awful. It’s going to take over 5 hours , you are going to be miserable.
Much improved
Some tee box’s are still lacking, but the course is much better now that spring has greened it up.
No ball washers on the course
Good value for the price
Actual Review of Course
This course is a low 4 Stars. Keep in mind I said “the course”. I’ve played this course many times as my grandfather lives on hole 4.
Course: The course is a great course to learn on for new players and even experience players. About 8 of the holes are easy where you can get on green in two, no problem. 7 of the holes you need to be picky as you need to hit a decent fade (not slice) or draw to be in fairway for a good second shot. About 3 of the holes are 50/50, you really just need to take what you can get. Great course if you or your kid needs to work on shot placement or needs to learn how to “play the course” rather than just crank a ball down the fairway. Nice to not have tons of people breathing down your neck. Not crowded at all. Sand bunkers are nice, easy to get out of bunker when they actually have sand and don’t feel like cement mud. You can start most holes with a 3/4 iron. You don’t need a driver in 90% of the holes.
I will say they need to water more, the fairways are fairly hard. I hit a perfect stinger draw on hole 4 to land next to the cart path on fairway and my ball just rolled to the shade on the left, thats about 70 yards. All but 2-3 greens are in great shape. Greens have good slopes but are mostly flat so not too difficult for bad putters to learn or build confidence.
Customer Service: The older guy in the pro shop needs to cheer up and be friendlier. If you ask me, the course price is decent, they really should revisit their pricing. To draw more players. I know they are trying to renovate a lot, so hopefully they can.
Pro Shop Employee and Tee Boxes
Tee boxes are basically cement. Insanely hard to put your tee in the ground.
Pro shop employee was very rude to myself and customer in front of me. Seemed zoned out
Good value
First 2 greens are under repair but other than that, the greens are in good shape. The greens are pretty firm but they roll well. Overall a good value for the money. Would be fantastic if pace of play wasn’t horrible.
Good value
First 2 greens are temporary, there was no mention of that. Once you get past those 2, the course is an absolute beauty. I loved it. Old guy at the pro shop was about as unfriendly as I’ve ever met. Made it clear that he was simply annoyed with my presence. Almost made me just leave. But I ran into the greens keeper on hole 2 and he was as friendly as could be, explained the course layout to me as well. It can be confusing if you’re playing there for the first time. Overall the course was good, and it’s a great value for the price you’re paying. I’ll definitely return.
Just okay. Nothing great, but also not bad.
Has some really rough greens. The back 9 is better than the front. You get what you pay for here. Not a bad place to play some golf on the cheap. Staff is very friendly.
No way to cancel when you book as a guest
This tee time was booked as a guest, I couldn't remember my account log in info. We switched to another golf course and cancelled the tee time with the course directly but can't recoup the money we put in deposit for the tee time. This should be an option even when booking as a guest.
Good day of golf
Good course. One hour Robles, not one ball washer for 18 holes.
