Interesting Course
Got off to a bad start. Booked via golf now and it said $30 due at course. The guy in the pro shop charged $32.48 (no big deal) but when I ask led why he was very rude in his response and short with me. When I asked if I was paired with anyone I got the same short sharp response tone directing me to the first tee
After this the day got much better. The 4 ball in Front let me through after a couple of holes and were very polite. The maintenance crews were out in force but always moved off the tees/greens to allow me to play. They were also super friendly
I played in just over 3 hours. The course is fairly interesting layout utilizing the creeks and water well. Not all the par 4s need driver which also made you think about positional play. The majority of the greens were in good condition, a coupe had some crab grass on them. The tees were rock hard. The fairways were ok. Overall an enjoyable mornings golf
Dried Out
I’m not sure what I was expecting. However, the sprinklers apparently don’t function as the course is dried out. Lots of deadpan. The greens were great as they watered those.
Also if you show up early do not expect the cart early. Was told 30 minutes prior to and actually was told 10 mins prior to tee off on another occasion. Really unfair to lug all your equipment to driving range.
Better places to spend your money around town.
Great Holes
Very challenging holes with great pin placements, especially on the par 3s.
#8 is a great hole, calling for precise 2nd shot, with water in right coming into play unexpectedly.
Fairways are good with the exception of hole 18
Needs more information on the course layout on each hole. Good place to play.
Crab grass on greens but it did not impact our puts.
Overpriced and course in poor condition
Had to wait for 3 groups on the first tee box then had to wait for at least one group on all the following holes. Course was in very poor condition, even for middle of the summer Texas. Tee boxes were sand pits, greens needed lots of love and drainage areas were completely unkept. First time playing here and will not go back.
Horrible facility and course is in terrible condition
I will never play here again pace of play to slow waited on every hole except first 4 holes. Course is very dry and not in good shape needs water hitting off hard ground with crushed Bermuda in the fairway. Facilities are horrible definitely not worth the price
Don’t waste your time
If you are a 15hcp or better don’t waste your time...horrible marshals, horrible layout, and bad conditions.
Weeds in most greens
More than half of the greens had weeds all through them.. slowest greens I have ever played. Tee boxes had tons of divots and looked like they haven’t moved in a while.. gotten worse since the previous times I played here
Improved course
This course has improved since the last time I play around April. The tee box and greens are in great shape but the fairways are hard as can be. Now it’s because there has not been any rain lately in the area. Once this part of the course improves, everything else will be good and fall into place. Either way, I still enjoy myself.
Pace of Play
Rained on us and got a solid refund so that was cool. Unfortunately our foursome was behind a threesome who was taking practice shots and giving lessons seemingly. Since there’s not a marshall on the course we tried calling the clubhouse yet couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Only blemish for the 5 holes we played
Nice day, nice pace and good partners
Duck Creek being available for us mon-planners, is enjoyable, laid back experience
Pace of play was way too slow. They had too many single and double players. A lot of players who did not know course etiquette and would let you play through. Took us almost 6 hours to play 1 round of golf. They should try to pair the single and doubles up
literally... no signs for each hole
My roommate and I went to this course about a month ago very excited because of how cheap it was, and looked decent online. The price remained true however the course literally didn’t have signs where to go for certain holes LOL
you pulled up to the tee box literally guessing if you’re on the 10th or 18th depending which direction. Some of the fairways WERENT bad, but the tee boxes were sand dunes. Not a chance I go back.
