Oak Creek Golf Club

I've played Oak Creek many times, staff is always great. This time there were many golfers on the course, so golf carts were scarce, and pace was very slow on the front 9 but picked up a bit on the back, though we still waited on mostly every hole. Sometimes there were 4 groups on golfers on a hole, with 2 waiting! The greens were in poor shape, as were the fairways. Its still a good course (long!) and usually in good shape, so I would think they will get it together soon. I would recommend playing there for the challenge, but better to go early and avoid the late afternoon slowness we faced.

Pace of play was awful, staff could have cared less about it, and fairways were mostly mud. Used to be a decent course, has gone completely downhill. Will not return.

The course wasn’t in the best shape but for this time of the year it was okay. Sure it is in great shape in season as it was last year! Overall a great but very long course

Someone definitely thought out the entrance to the golf club. The course is in a gated community but there is a separate lane that takes you directly to the course-no need to wait for a guard to let you in.

The pro shop staff was friendly and organized. We were provided with a cart that had our name posted on it-nice touch!

We started five minutes early. The course was busy and the round took about 4 hours and 20 minutes. The course was in good condition and pretty with lots of trees. In several cases the green to tee was quite long. Stay out of the bunkers because most of them are pretty deep-unnecessarily so.

The value for money at this course was very good.

Tee time was at 12:30 and we were being rushed to get to the tee box at 12:05 to beat a shotgun start. The starter had zero sense of humor or smile...and we were paired up with two guys that already teed off. Needless to say we started off badly. Our cart began to die on hole 11 - called the shop and no one answered until we got to hole 13. The guy that brought the cart out was very nice! The course itself was in great shape and I would definitely come back. The pace of play was horrific - took 5.5 hours to play - fortunately the day was beautiful.

The value to play in January was good (golf now) and the service was great. The pace of play was horrible.

The weather was less than ideal, windy and cold (15 mph and 39 degrees), this made some shots end up worse than they should have. Overall the course was in nice condition. 15 of 18 greens were excellent, 3 could use a little work to be excellent as well. Cart path only made the pace of play slower, but this was understandable, many fairways were still very wet to damp. With all leaves being pushed around with the wind, two balls were lost in the first cut of the rough. It looks like the grounds crew was doing their best to keep the leaves off to the sides in the woods, but the winds were too strong. Very nice round when you consider the conditions. This course is always in good shape. On a side note, ALL golfers should fix their ball marks, I had to fix 3-4 fresh ball marks on nearly every hole... 16 handicap and I shot a 92 (41/51).

Great course, will go back again. Beautiful layout, played at 6200 yards but the tips make it much longer.A truly great find.

I live in Calvert County MD. and as far as I'm concerned this is the best public course in a 30 mile radius. The fairways and greens are great and the rough is just challenging enough without being too much.

The price is fair and as long as they keep these course conditions I will be returning here.

a challenging course with blind tee shots, elevation changes, good mix of par 3's. overall condition was excellent with just a few areas under repair as happens this time of year. i will be back again

Was really looking forward to playing, drove 3 hours. The holes are very far apart as you drive through construction sites where they are apparently building many more homes. Most of the greens were ok however the green at the 6th hole was COVERED with leaves - horrible. they should have had someone out there blowing.

I love it. The layout is nice. Not a walkers course but if you want a great round on Bermuda grass, this is your spot. Love it.

It's a shame I will never go back to a great course because of how terrible the staff are. I got put in a group of SIX for my 8:45 tee time. It took me five and half hours to play an early morning round of golf. I went to the pro shop after to voice my concerns and was told by the staff member "Well I just got here so I don't know what to tell you." I called the following Monday and was told my concern would be voiced with the head pro and he would contact me by the end of the week. I called back the Monday after and was told the same thing. I have never heard back from anyone at the club.

The course is nice but it simply is not worth being treated like a second class citizen. Avoid this place, you can play plenty of courses in this area for less and with respect. A travesty.

Great course in great condition with difficult pin placements make for a fun day.

This course was awesome! As great as the course was, the staff was just as bad. I had several friends come in from out of town and the attitude that we received was extremely inappropriate. Perhaps my friends were used to "southern hospitality", but regardless, I was also disappointed. In any case, the course was amazing so we didn't allow it to ruin our experience. :-)

Pace of play was slow from the 1st hole to the 18th. Our foursome was set behind a single, who was set behind a foursome. We joined up as a fivesome and still were held up on each tee and fairway. I enjoyed the layout of the course, conditions were excellent. Good value for the money even with a discounted tee time.
