Great fall day
Oak Creek always delivers a consistent regardless of the season. All tee boxes were in pretty good shape, greens rolled well and fairways areinood condition although a few wet spots. Good to see they replaced some or all of the cart.
Gem in PG County Maryland
Very nice course. Loved it. Majority of the course is in very good shape. I am bummed that a lot of golfers are not fixing their divots. The course plays well for right hand slicers with the generous fairway bump-outs and/or small knolls ( 200 to 230 yds out) on the right side to give you a fighting chance to find and play your ball along with a the couple of lazy dog-leg right holes. The few water holes have a sizeable escape route to avoid losing your ball if you're not feeling it. The 17th hole is not as welcoming for slicers but there is a long sand trap that runs a good length to catch some of those stray shots from going out of bounds. The fairways are some kind of Zoysia grass bend that will bind your wedge shots if you don't focus and follow through with a firm grip on your swings ( Much like playing the courses in Florida) . My only hiccup has nothing to do with the golf course , but with the Cart-Person. I was playing alone and flying along the course, so I know business was slow for her, so I decided to buy a 12oz Coors light beer. I handed her a $10 bill and she asked if I wanted change? I then asked her how much the beer was. ( $6 a can)
What? I said in my head. The audacity of her. Really, a $4 tip on handing me 1 beer?
I told her to give me $3 change. Her mannerism was no "ray of sunshine" and if I had know that beforehand, I would not have bought anything.
Golf is a 90% metal game ( so they say), for the balance of my round, the experience with the cart-person kept popping up in my head. I had a fairly good round ( thanks to the openness on the right side) , so I am guessing I am blaming the few bad shots on her bad-attitude and asking if I wanted any change back. Ha !!
Otherwise, fantastic course. Glad I finally discovered it and I will be back again.
Friendly Pro Shop staff and as well as the young boys attending to the golf carts.
Played Sunday and had almost a perfect time, course was in great shape, staff was very friendly and accommodating but once again my group wanted to go to the restaurant after golf to eat and watch some football and they were closed. This isn’t the first time this has happened at Oak Creek, such a great golf course but such a terrible restaurant structure. Please find a way to accommodate golfers.

Rain day
For being a rainy day/cloudy the course was in great shape and was not very wet. Staff was friendly and overall was great day!
Not an amenities course
Has beer/water/dogs n such in their small hut. Has a small driving range and putting green, but really underwhelming off the course. The course itself is usually beautiful and well-kept. The rough can be really patchy at times, but the fairways and greens are usually money. Notoriously faster than average greens. Fun layout, lots of elevation and visual trickery.
Challenging from any tee.
T h e front nine is benign, but the back nine is longer and much more teeth. Swing away.
Worst golf experience eve
Arrived at GC and I truly enjoy playing this track, but today they had a stroke play outing with over 100 golfer, I told they had been on the course for over 8 hours. There were no carts and my 4some had to wait because the outiing had not come back in. We had to wait close to 40 mins because they had another group going out and they got the carts first since they had an earlier tee time, they finally told us if we wanted to start playing to go to hole 16, to top it off after playing 9 holes our cart started losing power and finally died.
Plush
The fairways and fringe were in excellent condition. Th!!e green were fairly nice as welll. WISH MORE FOLKS WOULD REPAIR THEIR BALL MARKS!!!
