Prairie Lakes Golf Course - Blue Course

First time playing here in several years. Conditions were DRY, grass already struggling, tee boxes needed water and greens had been punched recently with lots of sand. Great staff and good food!

My first time playing this course because I waited to the last minute to decide I was playing. I was hoping the greens were in better shape than the practice green, but they weren’t. They were aerated and sanded recently but they were extremely bumpy and had clumps of crabgrass that made it impossible to read them or keep a putt in line. Our group just said let’s give ourselves an automatics two out once reaching the green. The fairways were decent. Staff was very nice I will say. There was a junior tournament on one of the nines so the place was packed. Hopefully the greens come back.

Greens were aeriated and bare. Player behind us hit into on two conscutive holes. Good place to get killed. Mant players have never heard of etiquette. Balls spraying all over the course, no warnings given

The course is fine for the price. Greens were punched and then sanded but not leveled which made for bouncy putts. The only other issue I had was at the turn I went to the bar and asked for soda water. The bartender told me it would be $3.75 per 16 ounces of soda water out of the fountain. I've been in the restaurant industry for 25 years and have never heard of such a thing. Oh well. Dont pay more than $25 for your round and bring your own soda water.

Went golfing on Sunday, it had rained on Friday a decent amount but the course was mostly dried up. Range was closed, cart path only and greens were aerated a few days before. All in all could have atleast been 90 degree rule if anything, felt like cart path only was pushing it.

Fun course but pace of play is super slow, no Marshall on course to control speed. Overall a decent course, just still in rough condition.

Lot of poa anna on the greens & the fairways were still a lilttle hard. We did White-Blue & got killed by the triangle but made up ground on Blue. Good course, just needs some growing in. Oh, a great breakfast burrito!

Have always liked this course, but lately the greens have so much weed it's like putting in a pinball machine.

The first reason I go here is that the restaurant food is so delicious and especially the hamburger tastes good. And even though it's a pity that the golf course doesn't have a bunker, the course is fun.

The course was in pretty good condition this early in the spring. I played just after the rain let up in under 3 hours playing by myself. The greens were so so with some sad prong weeds tgat they need to get under control but not terrible. The value was fantastic and like I said anytime you play in under 3 hours is a treat.

Greens had a decent amount of weeds but the course has a fun layout with water trouble on most holes and being on the lake there is always lots of wind

Me and a friend chose this golf course because we found a hot deal for only $22. We should have known what we were getting ourselves into. The the fairways were grassless and the rough somehow had grass worse than no grass at all. The greens played at 18 different speeds. The tea boxes look like they had been in a war zone.
