Tangle Ridge Golf Club's location near Joe Pool Lake is favorable because of the elevation changes that spice up this well maintained public course. The course offers some outstanding holes, highlighted by impressive bentgrass greens that putt true. In addition to the elevation changes, Jeff Brauer's design features generous fairways lined by thick brush and huge trees. Two holes grab your attention on the front side. The opener goes 469 yards and might be the most difficult on the golf course. While there aren't too many hazards, bunkers protect the fairway and green, and the thick rough lining the fairway makes it a difficult long approach if you miss the smooth stuff off the tee. Tangle Ridge Golf Club's eighth hole is considered the signature: a 575-yarder that rolls downhill off the tee to a creek that cuts the fairway at 300 yards out. The approach on no. 8 must carry the creek to an elevated green protected by two massive mounds.

Good Value for $45
We played late afternoon so the tee times were less. I would probably not pay $80 to play mid day.
They really need some marshals on this course. There were twosomes that jumped ahead of us, so on the next tee box, we were waiting for them to tee off. Because of the delay to us, the group behind us hit into us. They actually hit the cart of the couple playing with us (and nearly hit the woman in the cart).
Good course but recommend they get some marshals on weekends and space out the tee times a few more minutes.

Best golf course in the area. Great layout. Course in great condition. Green were in post aeration (so it was challenging to putt).
Good Track
Greens were a little bumpy but remainder of course is in very good shape. Just enough challenge while maintaining fairness from the blue tees. Check it out!!

Greens??? Wth
The aeration on the greens was awful I've played this course many times after the GREENS were aerated ....whoever did this last aeration was horrible.. what did they use a fence post hole digger??? Next time try to be uniform and fill with the holes with sand they might have ruined their greens for the summer TO UNEVEN!!!!

Course is always in good shape. Folks work ing are decent and engaging!

Parts of the greens were still dormant. But they rolled well. Everything else was in excellent shape.

I had a blast at tangle ridge! The greens were not in the best shape but still a really nice course, especially for the price! I will definitely be coming back!
great course, very poor greens
I love the general layout of this course. My favorite probably. BUT, the greens are BAD. there are these little weeds all over the totally mess up the roll on the greens. I drive better here than anywhere, but putting is the strongest part of my game generally, but suffers here. Worth a cheap HOT DEAL, but not worth regular price for that reason.
