About
Tangle Ridge Golf Club's location near Joe Pool Lake is favorable because of the elevation changes that spice up this well maintained public course. The course offers some outstanding holes, highlighted by impressive bentgrass greens that putt true. In addition to the elevation changes, Jeff Brauer's design features generous fairways lined by thick brush and huge trees. Two holes grab your attention on the front side. The opener goes 469 yards and might be the most difficult on the golf course. While there aren't too many hazards, bunkers protect the fairway and green, and the thick rough lining the fairway makes it a difficult long approach if you miss the smooth stuff off the tee. Tangle Ridge Golf Club's eighth hole is considered the signature: a 575-yarder that rolls downhill off the tee to a creek that cuts the fairway at 300 yards out. The approach on no. 8 must carry the creek to an elevated green protected by two massive mounds.

Nice Course
The FIVESOME in front of us played with 3 in a cart and one without clubs. They also had 2 with non-colar shirts. Please be consistent

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens all in excellent shape as always.
Even though it is a long drive from the north side of the metroplex to get to this course on the south side, I will always come play here. This has been one of my favorite courses in the metroplex for a long time. It has also been a long time since anyone in the clubhouse acted like they were glad I was giving them my money. Every single old man behind the counter that has ever checked me in, for years now, acts like they couldn’t give two craps that I am there supporting their course with my time and money. I’ll always come play here, and I’ll always just hand over my money and just get out of the clubhouse as we quickly as I can.

Good, could be Great!
This is one of my favorite courses in the D/FW metroplex. The course itself is fantastic! I love that the course makes you forget you're still in the city. The food & beverage area is nice with good food and a cool view of the 18th green. I love the cart service on the course as well.
The only thing that detracts from the golfing experience is the fact that the driving range is closed way too often. We've been told before that it's simply because they can't get anyone to work and do the ball pickup. If that's really the case, that's quite unacceptable for a course that hits $68 for weekend rounds. The course is totally worth the fee, but not getting to warm up is super disappointing.

Fairly easy course, usually can play it pretty quick. Everything is in pretty good shape. Greens roll good.

The course was in great condition
The course was in great condition. The greens were punched about 3 weeks ago and rolled pretty true. We were behind a tournament and the pace of play was a bit slow. Overall experience was good
