Tangle Ridge has always been in fairly decent shape when I've had the chance to play there. For starters, the driving range could definitely use some work. The fairways and tee boxes were in great shape for the most part (some tee boxes could use mowing though), but the greens were surprisingly quite slow. Putts did not roll with much enthusiasm, which was a bit disappointing for a premium-priced course. I enjoy the fact that this course has lush rough which actually factors into your club/shot selection, which isn't always the case at other courses in Texas during the Summer. The bunkers' condition was definitely the low point of my round. I understand that we had a little rainfall recently, but the majority were nearly unplayable (very muddy and over-penalizing). I played them as ground under repair after my first attempt ha. I believe there may be a slight issue with the drainage. The golf carts' GPS was a great feature, but the "lock-up" feature that activates when you come close to hazards was pretty annoying at times. I was also surprised by the lack of marshals or beverage carts, especially considering it was a holiday. We experienced some confusion with another group on the first tee that could have been avoided had there been a starter on the box. The course has a very solid layout and is in above-average shape at the moment, but I probably would've felt that I had overpaid had I doled out the standard green fee of $68 as there are several better options in this price range across the DFW Metroplex, especially considering the long trek to get there (GolfNow discount made this a great value). Overall, it's a fun course with some solid risk-reward options and generally good conditions, but it surely has room for improvement.

This golf course is way over priced.... staffs are not friendly and poor practice facilities.

Fantastic course as I posted in prior post. A real gem. But, one problem. They have signs everywhere about no coolers, etc. Well, it is TX and hot. The beverage cart came around once. We had nothing to drink and was thirsty. If no coolers, then, especially in the afternoon in TX, have the beverage cart come by multiple times. Outside of that, perfect day.

Beautiful course. Challenging. Had to plan shots. Was a great day on a great course.

Course is in great shape and if you take time to enjoy the scenery you’ll appreciate it more

Practice facilities, tee boxes, fairways, and greens all in great condition.

Easily the best condition of a course I’ve played this year, and in the summer! Greens were dry but rolled true, fairways were nice and green and rough was pretty lush.

I loved it, be back again soon.

First time to play and was thoroughly satisfied with the layout, course condition and restaurant . I really like the openness of the course and the fair playability. The only negative is I should have played it sooner.

I absolutely love this golf course but don't get out there but a few times a year. The staff (with the exception of yesterday) are snobbish to the point you feel you aren't welcome. I have always felt that it is overpriced but yesterday was so disappointing. The greens were terrible. Bumpy and very slow. Two combinations that a premium priced golf course should never have. I play quite a few courses and no one else seems to be having this issue. I don't trust going back out there unless it's a reduced rate.

Course is always on nice condition...little gar for me, live in plano, but try to go to this track once or twice a month..

I play somewhere different every week. I decided on Tangleridge this week and was so disappointed. I have always loved the layout of this course although the staff here is not been the friendliest. green fees are on the high side and usually greens are excellent. The greens today were bumpy and extremely slow. Not worth the price and won't be back for awhile. There are plenty of options for better greens in the DFW area.

Greens were slow. Fairways were great. Temp was 95* and wind gusts were 30+ mph.

Really enjoy playing this course. Challenging but fair. Greens and fairways in excellent condition. Only issue: greens were fairly long due to all the rain. Once cut and rolled, this course will be outstanding.

I did not get to play as the course was closed for a tournament.
