Maryland National Golf Club

Played on Monday, 8am tee time. The course was in absolutely fantastic condition from tee box to green. No leaves were on the course so the staff was on top of it. Probably my favorite western MD course.

I’m a mid-teens handicap, and usually play forward tees (I’m 75, I earned it). I played this course from the white with my son-in-law, and I have to say, it was an experience. The length wasn’t that bad, but the greens were omg fast, compared to what I’m used to. It was all in all a great round, and the course was a good test of skills (putting skills, for sure).

MD National Golf course is always good in terms of game pace and course condition.

I am a 17 handicap and this course is a challenge for me. I need to bring my best game when I play here. It was cart path only when we played. I’m 68 years old and not in the best shape. I was physically drained after 10 holes but fortunately the starter drove up to us on the 11th tee and told us we could do 90°. Rest of the round was much easier.

We played as a 3-some and we’re delayed on every single shot as the course was so backed up. It took over 3.5 hours for the front 9. We were then held up on the 10th and 11th hole. Finally, we just gave up and played the front 9 again. That was quicker.

I drove over an hour to get to the course and paid just under 100- to play at Maryland National. While it’s a nice course. I will never waste my time there again. At the end of the day, I told the guy in the pro shop and while he apologized, he said there was little they could do. At that price, I expect better.

Always a great round at Maryland National. Helpful, courteous folks in the pro shop. The course is extremely well managed - always in good condition. One of the prettiest courses around.

Excellent course. In great shape this time of year. Pace of play was excellent. Staff is very friendly.

What a gorgeous course. - every hole had it’s unique challenges.

They have PGA greens- make sure you bring your A game.

Definitely be back once the foliage changes!!

My son and I really enjoyed playing MD National. This is probably one of my favorite courses now. Greens were fair but fast. Chipping was tough to hold the ball on green. Distances were tough to judge because of all the elevation change throughout course. Some holes were wide open and forgiving but others tight with not a whole room for error (which is not good for my swing). I cant wait to play again (but maybe when price is alittle lower).

Lots to see here. Greens were a bit firm requiring precision shots to stay close. The scenery is amazing and the course is exceptionally manicured. Changes in elevation provide challenges to club selection. Already rebooked and can’t wait for the weekend!

My wife and I enjoyed a challenging round of golf today. The course was in excellent condition (minus some fairway divots some golfers refuse to replace or repair with the sand mixture provided on golf cart) The staff was extremely courteous and helpful as we prepared to embark on to the first hole. The restaurant served excellent food and our waitress (Reagan) was extremely knowledgeable of all the draft beers and menu items. We definitely plan to return in the future.
