Maryland National Golf Club

This was my first time playing Maryland National. If I hadn’t been playing with players who knew the course, I would have been playing the wrong fairways and hitting many approach shots to wrong greens. Standing on many tee boxes I had no clue where that hole’s fairway was out at about 200 yds. So many flags in the distance, I had to keep asking my playing partners which flag we were shooting at. Add in significant elevation changes on almost every hole and bunkers littered among all of the fairways with humps and bumps everywhere, this links style course was just frustrating for me - and I’m a 10 handicap. To some up my view, the course was way too quirky for my liking. It was in very good shape, and personnel were generally friendly. Not a course that I will play again.

This place is a must play. Tees, fairways and greens are in great condition. Course is very challenging with real strategy to score here.

The best conditions you’ll find out of any public course in the area. Beautifully maintained. A true championship style course with fast greens. The only downside was the pace of play. It got backed up to 3 groups waiting on the par 3 #12 when we pulled up to it’s teebox. It took just about 3hrs to finish the round from hole #12 at that traffic jam. Everyone wants to play this course because of it’s pure conditions, so be prepared for a slower than slow round.

Tough layout with excellent challenges on every hole.

This place is a gem,located not far from Frederick.it’s a must play with anazing views and so much slope.Can’t wait to come again

Course in fantastic condition. Staff is friendly. Dramatic elevation changes.

Tough layout, green fast and with undulation, bunker in great condition also. Rough is spotty though.

Golf season now course is wonderful and great condition
